I got to hi-five the "Flying Inferno"! He was some crazy guy from Queensland, who lies on the bonnet of a car, while the driver speeds around the track, then as a finale he speeds through a ring of fire. Then there was a fireworks display with commentary…unique to say the least. We learnt how fireworks were made, and how "The Chinese" (commentators words, not mine) are very lax with their safety in making them. Lots of rednecks, bogans, drunken teenagers and showies. Fun was had by all. The theme for the Flying Inferno? Highway To The Danger Zone!
