It's been so hot today, so at 10pm Paul and I decided to try out the new ice creamery on Beaumont St. it's called cold rock, and I'm not convinced. 4 bucks for a regular container (no offer of a small serve). I picked macadamia flavour, then they do the add on sales, "do you want fresh nuts too?" Ching! ching! Another 80 cents! So they slab the ice cream onto this metal chopping board, throw some nuts in, slap it all around with metal spatulas until it's all mixed up. So Paul and I sat in front of the Oasis gorging ourselves on $9.60 worth of ice cream, thinking, we probably could've shared one. Oh well, next time…if there is a next time. Jim's Diary Delight is still the best.
