| A top US wrestling star has quit his job as one of the highest paid performers on Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment circuit to take up a new occupation... as a falsetto-singing Bee Gee. The news, announced last night on the wrestling group's website www.wwe.com, marks a new chapter in the career of muscle-bound grappler "Triple H", real name Paul Levesque. The Bee Gees are one of the UK's most successful and enduring groups, garnering huge hits all around the world over four decades. Lead by the oldest of the three brothers, Barry Gibb, they have kept it in the family until now; this marks the first time a non-member of the Gibb family has joined the illustrious band. In a statement, Barry Gibb proclaimed "Unfortunately, our dear brother Robin will no longer be performing with The Bee Gees. For years he has been battling deadly Night Fever and he has decided to ease himself into retirement and continue his battle. It really is a tragedy, when his feelings gone and he can't go on. However, there won't be any lonely days for us, the Bee Gees are stayin' alive by bringing a new face into the group, a legendary wrestler with a beautiful voice, Triple H." |
