How many times do you think God says this? He communicates with us often, but most of the time we do not even know it. Are we so busy with doing "God's Work" and enjoying the life He has given us...that we do not Hear His will? I encourage you to "Be still" as Psalm 46:10 ..and listen...you will be amazed at what you hear....

Over 2000 years ago, God sent us an eternal gift..Christ...in the form of a babe.
Yes, we have all heard this story many times and in many ways..
But I am here to share it in a new light...maybe this year's story and recount will mean something
a little different to you. and your family...
I came up with the G.I.F.T. bag one day, after taking a nap! If anyone knows me, this is an usual event..sleeping is not what I do best! But after waking, I had to write down what I had just dreamed. It was a true creation of God..because I knew..I did not have the smarts to just pull it out of thin air!
So I grab the nearest piece of paper I could find (which happend to be the back of an electric bill due that month). I wrote down everything God had shown me. God gave a gift that day to not just me or my ministry..but to the ones who would get them..for many years to come.
The G.I.F.T. bag stands for God Is Faithful Today! It is a bag full of scriptures showing God's faithfulness through the generations and future promises. It is created to bring hope, joy and peace to the person who recieves it. Just like our Christ brings these things into our life everyday since the day He came to earth!
This Christmas story doesn't end once Christmas day is over..we so seldom remember the gifts we get and who gave them to us..even a week down the road...but the Gift God sent down to us over 2000 years ago..is still new and fresh everyday! The G.I.F.T. bag that the Lord sent me is a reminder that wonderful gifts do come in small packages...and as long as you trust the giver....great things will awaken in your spirit if you recieve the gift!
My prayer to you this new year is one of hope, joy and peace...which only Christ can give...
you cannot buy it in the store, or wrap it in a box tied with ribbons...you cannot order it from a catalog or on line! However, rejoice! because it is found with in the pages of the Bible..try seeking it in John 3:16!
