EVANSTON, Ill. -- Local poker hustler and madman Michael J. McCormick was appointed by the Daily 1835 executive board as gaming commisioner late Monday night.
Originally, McCormick thought this had to do with hunting animals -- a different kind of gaming.
"Coming from Minnesota, I thought that I was appointed to be a hardass about giving out licenses and stuff like that," he said on his way to the loan office to default on some things. "But I have a gambling problem...and I like to evade my taxes...so i guess this job fits me pretty well."
McCormick was asked to clarify this comment.  He refused.
