Its Official! Ke is in the House!

First I would like to introduce myself to those of you that are not familiar with my name or for that matter, my character.  My name is Ke Xie, and I will run in the 2004 General election.

I was born in China like 1 billion other people, so you ask, why you?  Why me? If any of you is paying attention to the latest Daily news, then you will understand.  Constant bashing between the Boba Party and the Miller White party has been just embarrassing for all of us.  Disgusting campaign methods, rude remarks, late night Core recruiting are just not right. Its not right!!!  I am here to put a stop to this and to prove to the people that I am capable of this job.  I will make many speeches in the upcoming weeks to explain any details concerning my views on very touchy issues.  Also, I would like to challenge Mr. Li and Mr. Kim to a public debate next week.  If they are not up for the challenge, then they shall drop the election.

My campaign manager will be Mike Yao, an active participant in all events and an outspoken character who dedicates his life for the betterment of others.  My publicity chairwoman is Hanna Kim, who is a very loving, caring, compassionate, young, enthusiastic freshman; she brings all the qualities that a leader should possess.  As you may know, neither Mr. Li nor Mr. Kim has any female staff workers in their party.  So what do you think they stand on issues concerning women? As you can tell, this team is serious about the issues concerning the general public such as autistic children and women.  All money raised in my campaign will go to the charity for autistic children and Boba for the women of Northwestern.

Thank you for your time.

A message from Ke for President:

February 5, 2004

Men and women of Northwestern:

Today I offer myself as President. I want the job, I'm committed, I'm qualified, and I'm here for the long haul.

I have a plan to deliver a fair share, and a secure future, for all Northwesterners. I stand for the best possible education for all, not just the rich.

I stand for a food system where your Wildcard Card is more important than your credit card.

And I want to get this University working again with quality jobs for all our people, whether they live in the city or the regions.

My stance on womens right is firm, Boba for all women of Northwestern.

Unlike candidate Newton Li from the Boba party who made this comment at the fund raising dinner tonight, these girls are endorsing you (referring to me) because they dont know better.  This comment was made just days after Stanley Wong, Lis campaign manager, who referred to women as a pair of pretty shoes.

As for the supposedly Womens Coalition party headed by Rebecca Tsang, they certainly do not act like it.   At the fundraising dinner tonight at Plex, her campaign manager Angela Chung was quoted saying, your female campaign staff arent really girls.  This is a sick-to-the-stomach comment, I vomited after this, and I still have not recovered.

Action speaks more than words.  Watch my actions and you will see that this university needs me, you need me, and more than anything, I need you.

Ke Xie
Ke for president!
