I Wish I Were a Baller notches first win
EVANSTON, Ill. (AP)__ Dave Paek scored a season-high 12 points as I Wish I Were a Baller used a fast start to attain its first win of the year, knocking off CCI Militia, 27-19 Tuesday night at Blomquist Gym.
IWIWAB got off to an auspicious start, scoring three seconds after the opening tip.  They used good defense and ball control to build a 16-5 lead at the half.
The first-round playoff win now propels IWIWAB into a match against No. 2 Alley Oopz next Tuesday night, in what is sure to be a classic David and Goliath mathcup...except David won't have a slingshot and Goliath will have machine guns.
Hyuk Lee also achieved a season-high with 6 points.  Sam Hong added 4, Joe Chang had 3, and Tony Sham rounded out the scoring with 2.
Captain Paek treated the team to a Chicken Shack dinner afterwards.
Paek has carried the load for I Wish I Were a Baller, scoring 9 points a game, and leading the team in rebounds and blocks.
