(2/2)Kim, Collins trade blows; Li on the attack
EVANSTON, Ill. (AP)__ The race is turning from unpleasant to just plain ugly.
At a Super Bowl party in Shepard lounge Sunday afternoon, Kim called Collins a member of the 'Miller White' Party and doubted Collins' claims that he can attract voters of all backgrounds.
"Ooooooooh, the kid can rhyme," Collins said. "Kim's comment seems a bit hypocritical given his strong stance on bringing back internment camps." (actual)
Collins began to further bash Kim and Li, spurred by gains in some opinion polls.
"I accept people of all drinks and color," he added. "Not like my opponents who are too busy attacking each other to face the facts."
Collins took the day off from campaigning to take his annual bath.
Meanwhile, Boba Party candidates Newton Li and Andy Kim spent their Super Bowl Sundays in oppostie ways.  Kim campaigned at a Super Bowl Party at Shepard while Li studied at Core, a favorite hangout of Bobas.
According to Kim, who has been running a positive campaign in which he stresses his roots with the common people, Li attacked his background and his profession as a professional model.  Li also allegedly physically assaulted Kim at a HIS afterparty.
Li allegedly told Kim to "go wait in line for bread like the rest of your kind" and called Kim a "three-cent whore".
Li, as always, provided a witty response.
"I'd say that three cents more than he's really worth," he said. (actual)
Newton picked up the endorsement of Noelle Regner.
(2/2) Wong risks his vote on a game of pool; accused of bribery
Boba Party presidential candidate Newton Li, right, doing God knows what.  Li appears to be frustrated with the antics of his campaign manager Stan Wong.

opinion poll:

Newton Li
Favorable: 42
Neutral: 24
Unfavorable: 34

Andy Kim
Favorable: 52
Neutral: 20
Unfavorable: 28
EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) __ At the Shepard Super Bowl Party, Wong campaigned in Li's stead. But he appears to be doing more damage than good to his candidate's campaign.
Area coordinator David Paek accused Wong of bribing him with food after Paek refused to endorse Li.  Since those who have a "love of food" seem to be siding with Andrew Kim (Roger Chang), Wong tried to sway Paek with food.
Then Paek accused Wong of physically assaulting him when Paek refused to throw his support behind Li.
What Wong did next was even worse.
The two decided to wager on a game of pool.  Wong lost, and thus has to vote for Andy Kim on election day (February 9) while still campaignign for Li.
Because Wong could technically vote more than once by using two or more AIM accounts, it may not have a direct effect on voting. But it's the principle of his decision that is raising eyebrows.
"I'm going to have to talk with him," Li said. "I want to know what really happened. This is definitely a higher form of treachery." (actual)
Wong's strategies vary greatly from what David Ro is doing for Kim's campaign.
"What is Dave doing for your campaign?" Wong demanded of Kim.
"He's praying," Kim replied. "We are running a very spiritual, positive campaign here.  No insults or anything.  We're a campaign of hope." (actual)
