| Here at Northwestern University, we hold an annual event called Dance Marathon, a charity event where participants raise up to $400 each to dance for 30 consecutive hours. Proceeds from the event go to Have Dreams and the Evanston Community Foundation, both of which support autistic children. Since all candidates in this Monday's election have at least one person on their staff who is participating in Dance Marathon, The Daily 1835 is collecting donations from those who wish to contribute to the general election fund. The winner is entitled to a bulk of the donated money. Thus far, we have raised $261 towards the election winner. Also, co-editor Sam Hong and Lilian Shin have decided to bring a basketful of goodies and refreshments to the LOSER :( of this election during Dance Marathon!
