| (8/1)Mediocrity at its best: mpc te set to release new album today nationwide |
| SHOREWOOD, Ill. (AP)_ After months of anticipation and nationwide radio appearances, co-editor Matt Cozza (aka: tournament edition) has released his new album today. The thriteen-track collection, called Inspired by Mediocrity features a variety of new and original beats and rhymes, including several tracks that have already been released as singles throughout the course of the past year. Cozza pays great homage to his hometown of Shorewood, Ill. and the nearby area code district of '815' while not forgetting his roots as a student attending Northwestern University. Some of the tracks were prepared and recorded while Cozza watched NHL playoff hockey with roommate Sam Hong. The expert opinion of sound guru Andy Garland was also incorporated in the making of this cd, although few of his opinions were taken seriously. Much has been made about the lack of respect shown to Cozza's homsexual roots, seeing as how none of the thirteen track titles have anythign remotely "non-hetero" about them. "Forget it, I'm not buying this thing," disappointed fan Adam Sedrowski said. "It's a slap in the face." Pubescent girls and boys alike have flooded Cozza's Evanston office with requests for copies of the cd. You can check out the album's official website here, or contact Matt Cozza if you would like a copy. |
