NEOPETS GAME REVIEWS
Carnival of Terror
Game
Hints
This is a good game that was released a while ago. A shoot'em up with more skill than advert attack, as you have to target specific spots on your enemy. You can't go rambo crazy (well you could... :P) otherwise you'll run out of ammo. I love watching these clowns BLOW UP!! lol
*starts singing* If you want to scream, put away that frown, and never, be scared of, a ... *pulls out cannon* BOOOOMM!!! 'cLoWnnn'.. 10 points to anyone who knows where that's from :) or a lava mote to the first 10 people to neomail it to Leltos. Who reads this anyway? ha!

200m Peanut Dash
Game
Hints
Suck in air. Blow out peanut. Run. Jump over logs. Backflip. Catch the Peanut. YAY!!! Another rather simplistic game, reminds me of California Games Frisbee Toss, (anyone out there remember? heh
) I found this a fun game, yet annoying!! If you miss the peanut, you don't get any points at all!! What a gip. Oh well. I guess it only makes sense.

A fun little simple game, basically just keep the ball in the air by clicking on it. You can tell how tired you are when the ball just seems to zoom by you... A good game to play when you're awake heh, ^_^. Fairly decent neopoints as well! Not enough challenge though, and hard to play if you're not super alert.

Meristones
Based on an old African game, (I think Macala) or something like that. Pretty basic game, but winning is hard on hard, easy on easy, and varies on medium. I liked it! Like othello, a instant to learn, a lifetime to master. The good thing though is that on the same levels with the same number of stones, if you do the same moves, the computer will do the same moves. Still a couple bugs in here though EG CHEATING COMPUTER!!! oh well.

Korbat's Lab
Another variation on bricks, arkanoid, or whatever you want to call it. Special bricks, potions, and other items. Neopoints are average. ARGGHH! Can't seem to get that last brick!
Sound effects aren't too bad, but the game is just soooooo slow! (even on low quality). Would have been better otherwise.

Deckball
By far my favourite game in neopets. The first time I saw this I thought it was an ok game, but I quickly became addicted to it. The concept is simple, score in the other person's goal. Doing it is not! (at first anyways.) The learning curve is not too hard, but not too easy either. Angling your player in the right spots is really hard. If you try long enough, you will be able to pull off bank shots, and find just where to position your player. My record for survival is 59 goals, but then the ball got stuck in the corner with Mirgle and I couldn't get past him!
The neopoints are not bad, but they've been really reduced! I'd really reccommend this game if you're bored and just looking for some mindless activity to do.. ^_^

Deckswabber
Another easy game to understand, but very hard to master. The latest neopets game is variation of an old game (Q-wert?) where an alien had to change tiles of a pyramid by jumping on them. Now instead there's many different types of grids within an 8X8 square. You are the pirate, washing the deck to the right colour.
This game is fairly easy for the first couple levels, but gets really hard when you get to round 2, level 1! It's really frustrating trying to change all the tiles to the right colour, only to have some scorchio chase you around, and make you change it all back again. Also, I heard on the later rounds there are even harder enemies, skulls, which kill you instantly! I find it hard to go 10 levels without dying at least once! You only get 3 lives too. Each level takes longer and longer.
A really fun game, but really hard. You no longer get doubloons for winning too! :(
HIGH SCORES
Getting on? Pass at least 25 levels, allow an hour.
Going for first?! You'd need at least 45 mins to get to 1000, you'd need to hack to get the high scores.

Scarab 21
The concept of this game is fairly easy. Playing the game is even easier. However, playing this game good is hard! It's hard to get good at this game without remembering some of the cards that were played, eg.. no more 5's left until the next shuffle.. Also, one mistake can sometimes cost you the game.
There are a lot of neat special moves though, which can earn you lots of neopoints. It's about average on pay for neopoints.
HIGH SCORES: Don't even think about it unless you're an obssessive player...

Another easy game, neopets version of hot potato. The longer you hold it, the more points you get, but the bigger chance you have to lose!

Because of the 5000np bonus the average payoff is just above 100%.

Tyranu Evavu
A simple little game, simply pick under or over the card you see, and if it's right, you win! See how many times you can get it right! Too simple to be much fun, but it is exciting when you have 20 cards in a row right! I guess you could gain an advantage by card counting, but it really isn't worth it unless you're going for the high scores. If you play with basic strategy, you'll get only an average of 2.1 cards!
HIGH SCORES:
It will take an average of 4264 times using only basic strategy to get 33 cards! That's 18000 clicks!! Clearly you need to use card counting to reduce it to maybe 2500 times. Going for #1? You will get to 46 cards once every 175000 times! You really need to use card counting, to get it down maybe to once every 50000 times.

Scorchio Slots
This was the first neopets game I ever got addicted to.
Neopets updated this game from the one before. Now it's 5 np a spin instead of 3, with bigger prizes, and nicer textured pictures. This is like an ordinary slot machine, except with 2 twists.
Two, there is the feature position, letting you win or lose neopoints randomly.
After it's makeover, Scorchio Slots is even more fun to play.

Cheat
A game where you have to cheat to win? Well you don't have to, but it certainly helps! Neopets brings us the classic strategy game, requiring the memory of go-fish, and the bluffing skills from poker. This game can get pretty hard to win quickly especially in the last few stages. But this is a no-limit game, you can win as many neopoints from it each day as you want! 50 np a game, but if you're even ok, you'll make much more than that, sometimes getting 500 bonus np or more for winning. Nice trophies too.

Dice-A-Roo
Ok, when I first played this game, I didn't like it. Half the time, I would die even before i reached 5 neopoints.
But after playing it now, about a year after it was released, I'm starting to like it! I can actually get to the green die 1 out of every 6 times; you can get random food items! Random lottery tickets? I actually got a faerie once! I can get lots of neopoints! (well for this game... which is about... ...20) Don't play this game for straight neopoints; play it for the items (if you want, sell them for neopoints), or just for the fun of it.

Grundo's Gym
REMOVED FROM NEOPETS
This game is a little different from the rest. You can only go one level a day. However each level gets harder and harder, until you pass level 5; then it goes back to level 1 again.
Whenever you do a set, there's a chance of getting a random food item. However at each of the 5 levels the pay is different. I think it goes 20, 25, 50, 75, 100 neopoints a set. After doing 5 different types of exercise properly, you get a trainer level. I like the fact that every 5 level's, you get a training gym membership, a point of agility for your neopet, and a 1000np bonus every level you get. That really adds up.
After 10 days, if you did Grundo's gym each day, you would get 6350np, average 635 neopoints a day. The next 10 days, you would get 16350np, average 1635 a day. The next 10 days, 26350 np, 2635np a day! It keeps on increasing! I'm at the level now where I get about 4000np a day! Some people are at 10,000np a day!
Overall, this is a good source of neopoints if you plan to play this game for at least a week, which I'm sure most people have done!

Cliffhanger
Well this game is kind of like hangman, with different skill levels, restricting your letter choices. But, note about this game, there's a 1500np limit, instead of a 3 game limit. So you can take it easy, play a whole bunch of easy games and get an easy 1000np in maybe an hour;faster if you go on hard and are good at it. I really like the skill levels: If I just want to laze around, clicking mindlessly, I can go easy. If I want a real challenge, where I have to think, I can go on hard.
It also randomly increases your pets intelligence every once in awhile.

REMOVED FROM NEOPETS
This game is quite interesting, and an interesting change for neopets. However, it seems to be merely in test phase right now, still having many problems. I couldn't get pass level 2 in this game. (It paused up too much..) Also the skull demon gets really annoying in level 2, appearing like every 2nd room or something.. Also script problems slow down this game greatly.
My opinion? Play it once just for fun, and to see it, but don't play it for neopoints.

Treasure Hunt
REMOVED FROM NEOPETS
This is one of the games I like to do when I have nothing else on Neopets to do!
The Treasure Hunt is a good way to make easy money. All you have to do is use the clues to go search places. There are about 7 unscrambled clues, and then about 15 scrambled clues afterwards. Each time you complete the treasure hunt you get 1 piece of the space map, (you need 9 to complete it)
If you are not familiar at all with neopets, this hunt could take hours.. (but with my clues, you'll become an expert in no time!) I think I've gotten it down to 5 minutes...
Each time you complete the map, your neopet will gain a level, you will get around 14000 np, and you get 3 very rare items!!! Not too shabby..
Arggh!! Before you could do it every two hours, not just 3 times a day. Now they've made it only once a day :( . The only other annoying thing is the constant refreshing I have to do on some pages; otherwise, one of my favourite games!
