The sacred road leading to the Asclepion
of Pergamon. Notice the large Turkish national symbol of moon and star inscribed
in white into the far hillside. The ancient acropolis stands behind.
Have you hugged a column today? Getting
close to ancient history.

Coral hangs out among the remains
of the magnificent Traian Temple, on the acropolis of Pergamon
Enjoying the cool interior arched
hall beneath the Traian Temple. Coral steps to a dope beat, I attempt to lean
seductively.
Back in Athens, we set out on a photo
shoot - one of these pictures may end up on the cover of the Daily Hampshire
Gazette's Hampshire Life magazine. Imagine that! Below, we try to look candid
but look more like cheesy clothing advert models.
My
two Greek friends: Joanna, left, and Kalliope, right. Joanna had just finished
a bottle of wine and Kalli and I had just finished painting her room blue.
Our
first "family meal" around our new living room table with new roommate
Jane, far right. Jane and Joanna, center, listen as Coral weaves a tale.
