MILDENHALL PAGE 6
FAF Dassault Mirage 2000
The Mirage 2000 is the primary Air Defence Fighter of the French Air Force. With its unstable fly-by-wire configuration, it is able to pull off a dramatic yet safe flying display.
Photo taken with an 80-200mm lens.
FAP Dassault Alpha Jet
This small Franco-German built training aircraft appeared at the show courtesy of the Portuguese Air Force, who also use it for weapons training.
Photo taken with an 28-80mm lens. Note the crowd barrier, which is quite a celebrity, appearing on many of my photos.
BAF Fouga Magister
Despite mainly being replaced by the Alpha Jet above, the Belgian Air Force still utilises the Fouga Magister, this example appearing in commemorative markings.
Photo taken with 28-80mm lens. Note the B-52H in the background.
RNAF Boeing AH-64D Longbow Apache
Looking like a killer bug, this Longbow Apache of the Dutch Air Force lacks the mast-mounted millimeter wave radar of the US Army versions, and carries Low-Viz insignias.
Photo taken with a 28-80mm lens. Not content with just a barrier, I have included a bin as well.
