Subject: Re: Paint Chip Repairs? From: "Paul Wiatroski" Date: Thu, 14 Dec 2000 07:23:34 -0500 X-Message-Number: 1 John, I've used Langka for chip repairs on my 911. It works fairly well but it takes a little practice. The hard part is to gage how long to let the touch-up paint dry before you go over it with the Langka. If you wait too long, the Langka won't remove the excess paint. If you don't wait long enough, the Langka removes all the touch-up paint. I believe the directions say to wait 8 to 12 minutes. What I did was start out at the low end which removed all the touch-up paint, then started over and increased the time by a minute until I got it right. The length of time you wait also depends on how cold/hot it is when your doing this. The product seems to work best on the bigger stone chips, where there is plenty of surface area for the touch-up paint to adhere. It didn't harm the existing paint. Hope this helps. With the Langka you don't even have to worry about applying carefully. Robin 96 993 00 323ci http://p-car.com
