It doesn't cost much and can make an enormous difference in the feel when you're done. It'll also help the new clutch last. Once the flywheel is out it's a pretty simple and straightforward matter to replace the rear main seal to keep your clutch nice and dry too. Then there's the clutch slave and throwout bearing just sitting there looking old and tired... You can save a few bucks now not replacing the throwout but to do it later means dropping all that stuff again. Oh yeah, don't forget to take a look at the tranny input shaft. If there's signs of oil around it there's another seal that can be done easily now. Sorry I didn't document all of these steps while doing the clutch in my race car but I only had a day to do the whole job start to finish and didn't have the good digital camera I have now.
