They slip. 4) Another very inexpensive method is a longer set of lower strut attach bolts and some thick hardened washers. I think you mentioned these as 'spacer method'. For under $30 you can get a set from Korman and try them. Extremely easy on-car installation, and, if they make your tires rub you're out $30, big deal. I am using them now, although with 1/2 thickness spacers. The caveat here is a) be SURE you get the toe-in set after installing them. and b) my 'experience' shows that you NEED more neg camber in the rear to go along with the camber in the front. Again, if you increase the neg camber in the rear using the built-in adjustment, you MUST get the toe adjusted to less toe-in, or the car will be un-drivable at speed, I mean SCARY. This is where I am now, using the spacers in front and the free adjusters in back. For the cost of the parts ($30) and a good alignment, you can have a significant positive neg camber experience. don __ __ 95 tiSport / / / / | / | Alpine White / / / / |/ | 95 M3 / / / / | Dakar Yellow /_/_/_/__/|__/|__| Date: Tue, 28 Nov 2000 10:00:43 -0800 From: "Sean Hester" Subject: Re: [E36M3] Adding Negative Camber >Ron Katona utters at the very end of a long, informative post: > > > rather than a disease. (unless you count strut tower bars and xbraces as suspension) with -2 degrees camber my tires wore 100 times better and lots of understeer went away. i was perfectly content with that setup. a couple years later my stock shocks were dead, so i replaced them with konis. and if stock shocks weren't MORE expensive then konis i'd probably have stuck to the stock ones... so... if you decide to add camber plates to an otherwise stock suspension, you won't be the only one. ;-) _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web.
