I parked the bike on a sheet of shuttering ply which just happened to be lying about, it's about 7/8th thick. With bike on centre stand, rear wheel comes out easy as all the weight is on the front. Now, I screwed a gate latch to the board and forced the bike rear down to raise front and tied it off, you may need help. Once the front is up, this too is easy, and the bike is stable, though I did chock the bottom of the forks but its ok without.

If there's no centre stand, it should be possible to jack bike up from sump with appropriate packing, and then do the same thing as before.
