Just when you though that Phil Anselmo was on his way to becoming another Metallica (mind you are very far way to go) here comes the brutal death metal, call it what you want of Superjoint Ritual. This is what the last Pantera Album should have sounded like. This record blows away all the competition. The song It Takes No Guts is the heaviest song on the album and is simply a head pounding experience. This record was a long time in the making. Demos were floating around the internet since the napster days and a lot of people were able to hear a taste of Superjoint. However they were just that and the quality wasn't that good. People have been waiting and wondering about Superjoint for years and now they are finally here. I would rate this album 5 out of 5.
