Pop Will Eat Itself goes industrial. Well, not really, but the shift to Trent Reznor's Nothing label shows in the music. The guitars are harder-edged, and the drumbeats are less dancy and more driving. Despite all that, the album maintains the Poppies' unique sense of humor. Songs range from the dark club favorite "Ich Bin Ein Auslander" to the entertaining denunciation of the Royal Family on "Familus Horribilus." This album, although not all that representative of the rest of their discography, is certainly worth finding for any fan of the band.
