MY SONGS

HOME

Here are a couple of songs of mine that I have created over the past few years. The first song is the most recent. I did that song at school in about 10 hours. I didn't really spend time mixing it because you have to change all the binary information into audio. Its the same thing as converting mp3s to audio so you can listen to the CD player in your car or stereo. Anyways, the first song was done using Logic Audio and the Roland JV-1080 digital synthesizer and the Alesis D4 drum module. The song started off completely different then how it ended up. At first it was really distorted until I started adding more parts to the song I thought that I should go for more of a clean sound.

The second song is technically a remix of the first song. You can call it the 2 second remix cause all I did was change the setting on the JV-1080 to another patch and it became a crazy darker song. I would have changed a few things in the song but it was a bit complicated and I didn't have the time to work on it. Luckily I still have my zip disk with the information on it so if I ever get a JV-1080 I will be able to continue with the song. Just changing the patch gave me some ideas for it. But keep in mind you are listening to the exact same song.

The next song I did a few years back and I have played it for many people. As far as I know this is probably one of the best songs I have come up with in the heavy metal genre. I can make it much better now since I recorded this before I went to school for audio engineering. But I still like it. The timing is a bit off near the end especially. Time was a factor and I spent about 6 hours sitting on my couch recording this thing. The sample I used was from the Hellraiser movie. It was not the cleanest samples because I hooked up the mixer to the television and then pressed play on the VCR and recorded the audio to the mixer. There was some hissing sound I couldn't get rid of so you can hear it in the song. I tried to minimize the hissing sound by using the jog shuttle on the mixer and cutting the hissing sound out until you heard pinhead talking and then doing the same when he stopped. Today I have access to wav samples on the computer that are clean and would have sounded much better. I'll redo the song some time in the future.

If the songs don't work it is because that the site has exceeded its allocated data transfer which sucks but thats why.
