Living Sacrifice is among the heaviest and most respected Christian metal bands on the scene, with a style that run the gamut from an early Slayer style (on the debut), to a more death metal approach (on Inhabit) and a heavy, hardcore-ish style (due to the change in vocalist) on Reborn, to a reportedly more modern (nu-?) metal sound on The Hammering Process.
I have to admit when I think of a christian band I think of boring music and I just don't like it. Until now. This band is so brutal and heavy that I completely forget they are a christian band. The production quality on their last album is amazing and I'm looking forward to the new release on Sept. 24, 2002. I very highly recommend the Hammering Process. Reborn is just as good. They have seemed to evolve into a sound which is their own. I can distinctly tell a difference between them and other metal bands. I found out about them entirely by accident.
During the Napster days I searched for Sacrifice and I ended up getting Living Sacrifice. I was amazed. The band I found was better than the band I was searching for.
