| Voleron was attracted to Darlow for its lush beauty and capacity to spread its reign. It is an embodiment of pure evil. Voleron was originally defeated by Nexus and placed into a black crystal, to remain there forever. When civilization began to rise high, a man named Zathar found the black crystal. Voleron took him over and was eventually set free. Nexus and Voleron then fought a great battle in which Voleron was defeated again and imprisoned within Nexus itself, just at the beginning of the rise of the four kingdoms: Dainan, Anara, Lirea, and Hassen.. However, Nexus was wounded by Voleron, the scars bringing forth the terror of The Hunting Grounds. When Nexus was healed by the mortals of the surface, Voleron escaped, clashed into Nexus, and physically destroyed them both, sending their shards across the planet and their spirits locked in their realms. The world, for all of its existence, died, for Nexus no longer held the power to sustain it. Voleron's minions of the dark hell that is The Pits of Pain sprang forth from the underworld to rampage upon the land. Only the representatives of Nexus and those faithful to the holy light keep the minions at bay. Despite the ongoing resistence, Voleron, its minions, and the mortal followers of evil maintain their desire to bring forth the cataclysm, for everlasting power to the dark. |

| Voleron knew exactly how to display itself in separated physical forms in order to properly strike fear in those that would be most unfortunate to see such abominations and to ensure that The Cataclysm would come under the fires of The Pits of Pain with certainty. Demons are the purest form of Voleron's identity. Demons of lower order are common and hideous; those of higher order are rare and horrible. All demons vary heavily in appearance. Some look much like horn-headed humanoids with red skin. Others are big brutes. It can depend much on their proficiencies and their weaknesses. Demons are, much like angels, no larger than the average human most of the time. If wings are present, the wings of demons are coal-black, bat-like, and large relative to their body, Some have no wings, simply floating magically. Many have horns and fangs, although this is not a defining feature of all of these dark ones. Socially speaking they can really be quite charismatic. Truth be told, this charisma serves no purpose other than to expand Voleron's field of power, for demon's serve only to kill and convert, destroy and horrify. Those who obey them do it out of complete fear, for demon's are quick to anger, and few of the living even dare to test them. Statistically, demons are very much like their opposites in that they are reasonably good fighters with comparable magic. They trade speed for endurance. Their attack induces a magic drain and their inseparable ties to the side of evil gives them good resistance to physical ailments and complete immunity to pain from the dark in exchange for weakness to that of the light. Demons begin their horrid existences at a mildly weakened state. Through time, however, they become savage in battle, combining magic and the monstrous evil of Voleron itself. The devils, especially, wreak nightmarish havoc throughout Skure when it suits them (which is uncomfortably often). |

| From the Blasting Pits of the 4th cave, hellhounds thrive like horses thrive on plains. Gruesome, monstrous fire dogs that they are, hellhounds spend most of their semi-sentient lives as guards for higher demons. Hellhounds are wolf-like beasts with brown hair, about the same size as a bull. They have dull red eyes and a disgusting maw that releases a whiff of searing hot air every time they breath. With better than decent statistics in just about every category, they make good front line fighters. Hellhound abilities are quite numerous, one of the most, in fact, for a beginning class. Their highly aggressive nature increases every time they strike a blow, while their devasting set of teeth deal extraordinarily painful critical hits. Not surprisingly, they have a firebreath that becomes increasingly effective as they grow older. Their affiliation for the flame gives them substantial resistance to it, while the opposite, cold, hurts them dreadfully. Hellhounds are looked down upon somewhat by the rest of The Minions because of their dulled intellect and filthy appearance, a very unwarranted view, for hellhounds clearly begin much stronger than any of the others belonging to Voleron. They progress slowly, but powerfully. |

At first glance, the dark being of smoke appears little more than a condensed cloud of black and multi-coloured fog. But when two glowing evil crescent (cheshire cat-like?) eyes protrude from within, few remain to peer any further. Smoke demons are physically imperturbable, their evil souls being held within the contraption of their airless stench, spreading the rot of Voleron. Because they are little more than condensed black fog, they can shift at incredible speeds, sacrificing much physical prowess (and avoiding much physical damage), namely endurance and offense. Their touch sends a scorching hot wisp of air through their victim, oftening poisoning them and putting them to sleep, allowing them to slowly succumb to the physical ailments that smoke demons never would. Comprised mostly of the mind, magic is one of their strong suits, giving them both ability to use and resist. Smoke demons are feared because they are intelligent and highly unpredictable. Many a mortal human have fallen asleep after seeing black fog, to awaken alive no more. Many of those that fall under a smoke demon's ill hand are awakened again as undead, eventually to join The Minions. Smoke demons start off strong if their resistances and specialties are taken into account. They progress to be a little more powerful throughout their intruiging "lives". |

| Fiends stand alongside demons in their pursuit for power and destruction. They differ in several ways in both appearance and statistics. Fiends are much more human-looking than demons. Fiends have no tails, usually shiny black eyes and a lighter-shade of red for skin. They have no wings and often adorn hideous robes and staffs embued with the powers of the dark. The succubus and incubus would be considered fiends, if they were to be categorized. Statistics are modest for the fiend, with a surge of magic power, for they embrace both mage and cleric potential. Their close ties to Voleron give them resistance to the elements, as well as, in unique fashion, curses. The power of their touch surges through their weaponry in a form that causes immediate bleeding, giving rise to their goring ability. Fiends are nasty but very social. In fact, fiends are the most personable of The Minions. They are called upon to speak to those outside of the influence of Voleron. These interactions usually end in a gruesome onslaught, for which fiends are well prepared. Fiends are humble in their strength in the early going. They are much less humble in the long term. |
