List of Brotherhood Masters (BMs)

- List of Teams
All players will have a Brotherhood Master (BM) assigned to them. Brotherhood Masters are specially trained members of The Brotherhood who know enough about the game to be able to host campaigns and keep order among the teams that they have. We are the judges, jury, and game managers. Most BMs will not have more than two or three teams in which they work with. Some of us have our own characters, but even if we don't, we are the ones that are playing the NPCs. If you get killed in battle by a nasty NPC, it the BM who did it. If you have any problems with your character or game rules or anything pertaining to an aspect of the game of Skure itself, you will need to speak to your BM. If it has something to do with the team, speak to your captain. Captains are advised to keep directly in touch with the BM to voice concerns for their team.

Looking to become a Brotherhood Master?
I (Dagolar) will be frank. Kent Keith says "Frankness and honesty make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway." To be admitted into The Brotherhood and becoming a Brotherhood Master is difficult and demanding. The Brotherhood is a very exclusive group. We will not allow just some enthusiastic player who feels like running their own campaign to go through the training and testing of becoming a BM. It takes a fair bit of memorizing, good discipline, a knack for creativity. Above all, if you wish to be a Brotherhood Master, you have to be just, fair, and honourable. We have no tolerance for BMs (and players) who lie, cheat, or dishonour the position they hold.

By becoming a Brotherhood Master, you will agree to uphold the letter of the law in the world of Skure. Nobody will be looking over your shoulder once you are accepted. Honour, above all else, is to be maintained. You will treat your players fairly and you will reward them equally so. BMs who give their players extra experience just to "boost them up" are, in effect, cheating. This is not looked upon favourably by The Brotherhood. Hold up the code of honour.

After this joyful lecture, if you are still interested in becoming a Brotherhood Master, think first. Are you willing to spend at least 5-10 hours a week keeping in contact with your team(s) and players? Are you willing to spend some of that time hosting games? Are you willing to put up with complaints, irritation, and plenty of enthusiastic but somewhat meaningless e-mails in order to ensure that your groups are kept well-informed? What about meeting with the other Brotherhood Masters? What about joint campaigns? Here's a big one: What about coming up with your OWN campaign that can at least make an attempt to match the storyline (in other words, you need to know the story)?

There is a lot of work in becoming and maintaining the position of Brotherhood Master. If you think you can do it and you are still enthusiastic, speak to one of the current BMs to get a sense of what they went through. If I know you personally, that helps a lot. If you're some stranger who strolled in, I probably won't respond very well. If I don't know you very well, that will have to change. I won't grill you to death, but I would like to become familiar with you, as would all of the other BMs. The more Brotherhood Masters there are, the game grows and becomes all the more involved and interesting. Good luck to all applicants.                        -
