Maj. Edwards, forty years old, arrives earlier then the rest of the squadron at each air demonstration. He ensures all is ready for the performance and then serves as a narrator during the show. (On a personal note, I find that all of these narrators are quite dynamic and allow a greater enjoyment of the T-Birds air demo.) Maj. Edwards also flies demo flights in his F-16D, (two seat varient of C model) which serves as a secondary backup for the squadron. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1985 through the Reserve Officer Training School (ROTC) at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He flew 43 combat missions over southern Iraq in support of Operations Desert Fox and Southern Watch. Edwards also served as a Navy Exchange Pilot flying the EA-6B Prowler with Electronic Attack Squadron 128. Married to Jody Hejhall, the two call Potomac, Md home.
