During their nine months living in the trenches, Eritrean military personnel created ��"homes" for themselves at their posts. These pictures show the "residence" and office of General Omar Teweil in the Eritrean trenches. ������������������������

Ethiopian defense forces achieved a total victory on February 26 in their counter-offensive known as Operation Sunset.

Having suffered a monumental and humiliating defeat, the army of President Issaias retreated under fire, scattering and leaving behind their military armaments.

��� During the military engagement at the Badme front, Eritrea deployed large numbers of� military personnel, heavy artillery, tanks and armored military vehicles. The Ethiopian ground and air forces captured and destroyed many of the enemy tanks and numerous heavy artillery.
