After having a multiple transmission technicians tell me that my 96 VW Jetta needed a new transmission to the tune of $4000.00, I traded it in on THIS nice lil Ford.

She's a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2 (I hate admitting the "Escort" part, because its not your mom's escort). It features Ford's Z-tech 16valve twin cam inline 4 cylinder engine, 5spd manual transmission, and all the sport-tuned suspension goodies I'll ever need.

Its beyond me why FORD put a cassette player in a car this new; which brings me to the first upgrade I performed.

The NEW stereo is a Pioneer DEH550MP CD/MP3/WMA/XM/AM/FM stereo. The install kit is from Scosche Industries. They claimed it was an easy install, yeah right!! But I got it done in about 2 hours.

Barely enough "room for the boom" in the tiny trunk, but this set-up works for now. The band-pass box houses two 12inch Legacy Subwoofers, powered by a 600 watt Profile Amp. (I prefer the cut-off frequency to be 50hz)

I dare anyone skeptical about these little car's performance to go drive one. No stock Honda is gonna catch me!

Here's a pic of the 96 Jetta I traded in. (as pictured in the bottom half)
