High School Days
High school days could be the most fun and memorable moment in one’s life. It is the time for most of the first times in our lives. Remember that first dance? The first kiss? First night-out? First cigarette puff? First sleep over? And a lot other first times? It was fun, right? We were so young then and all we wanted to think about was to have a good time. School never really bothered us that much. We had our way to get away with curfews and stuff. We were just so cool about things.
High school days were crucial too. It was
when we were trying to find our identity, it was when we molded our
personality. It was the time we made the decision of what we want to be. It was
when we learned to reason out and sometimes even to answer back at our folks.
It was also the time we felt that nobody just understands us.
High school days were difficult as well.
It was when we encountered a lot of problems. It was the time when we made a
lot of mistakes. It was the time we had a hard time figuring out how to make
things work and how to make things just fall into places.
But inspite of it being the crucial stage
and inspite the difficult moments, we still managed. And that makes it
memorable. Memorable because we got to learn a lot of things. We found a way to
undo our mistakes and learn from them instead. We accepted our flaws and
realized we just cannot be so nonchalant about everything. The difficult
moments taught us great lessons. It taught us to be aware and to be sensitive.
We won’t be able to go through all these without the people we’ve met along the way. It was in high school that we got to meet a lot of people. The friends we made in high school are the ones we chose to travel along with. These are the people who have changed us in a lot of ways, people who learned from us and people we’ve learned from. And these people are the reason why high school days were so fun. There is just a deep and strong bond between our high school friends and us. We’ve just shared a lot of great things together. We’ve just shared together our ups and downs mostly we’ve encountered in high school. It was these people that made the crucial and difficult moments seem to be so easy. Although high school days are already over, we still have our friends with us. And that’s reason enough to reminisce the old days, reason enough to make the high school days the best days in our lives. We got to keep people, people we know who will be there for us even beyond the high school days. People who will forever change us to be the better persons we ought to be.
