Tom: This situation is horrible,i was so looking forward to birmingham and then to come home to a great sounding show on minidisc, but i have only be burned once, im lucky Manchester and Glasgow fans hae the right to feel mad, london fans have had 3 shows this year, but when a band is really getting popular in the uk DO NOT CANCEL. the reason of the loss of money makes sense though when you realize it is a full european tour, with all the current added charges, if they were only coming to the uk i would go fucking mad, but it was a full eurpean tour, that means more moneys lost. a lot of uk fans see this as a personal attack/insult on them, im quite sure the band didnt sit down and deside how pissed of can we make uk fans. i want to believe and do believe that this whole mess is curcumstance and no more, im pissed, but they'll be back, what i would like is an apology straight from the band, rather than karl. weezer do care about their fans, we get new songs free over their website, we get whole albums worth for nothing, and then we complain they dont care! weezer are still a great band, but sometimes it seems as though their not
The official line is that Weezer will be returning in the new year to make up the dates that they missed from the European Tour. However, many fans are unsure whether it would be best to get cancelled tickets re-embersed or hang on. I was unsure what to suggest so I emailed the man in the know, Karl Koch over at weezer.com. Below is the e-mail and his responce. Make of it what you will
Question: This e-mail is concerning the posponed UK Tour. I recieved a letter saying I should get my ticketsre-embersed due to the cancellation. But I wasplanning to hold on to them for any return dates next year. My quandary is wether I should get money back,or hang on to them and I thought perhaps you may beable to advise. Cheers, DaFaulkiner Answer: i really am not sure and i would hate to mis-advise you. i can't imagine theyd deny you, as long as the city/venue was rescheduled to the same place, but what if it gets changed? So, I advise reimbursement (unfortunately!) -karl
