Weezers latest album "Maladroit" is out, and it ROCKS
The release of Maladroit in the UK was a day ahead of America with some nice extras. The UK release has a special bonus track Living without you, as well as Island in the Sun. The last one is a bit weird but what the hell, the Cd also features some little clips that were avaliable on weezer.com, little snippets of some of the songs live as well so Crazy Pat on the Cobo Challenge!

The band are in a bit of time out at the moment. Pat and Brian are both releasing albums at the moment and doing some live shows, so Weezer are having a time-out. However there has been a lot of speculative news about new material. Rick Rubin will be involved it seems, an awsomen prospect. The latest Rivers info seems that he is working on old material and re-working released stuff!!?! As ever, this could all just be mis-infomation, but it seems pretty strange...The one good thing is that they are taking more time over this than they did over Maladroit, and we should know more in the new couple of months.

Latest music releases have been an MP3 of New Joint, we previously had a clip of them practising it. It is very green, you know what I mean. Pretty good for what it is. We should have Crying and Lonely soon, there have been various disagreements over RCB involvement. RC.com password got out, winzy, and Burning Sun was released. Could these be songs in consideration for 5? Your guess is as good as mine...

Maladroit infomation:
Over on weezer.com, Maladroit was constructed with the help/critism of the fans on the message board. The tracks and listings changed several times, releasing several demos of possible tracks, including new versions of summer 2000 songs, Dc Demos and the newest songs played at the Goat Punishment gigs. There is a general tendancy for more Rock, which is sounding like a good thing at the moment..... They were posting about 6 or 7 new demos daily over at weezer.com, and then the mixed versions that they were working on in Miami. The album is self produced with a little help from the fans. I have listed most of the demos in a special section here. Check the mp3 section for other recent songs not avaliable anymore, either rejected or postponed, plus a lot of live songs that didn't make the cut. There was lots of imput requested by the band, including album names, favourites poll and cover art, and with recording already begum on new album 5 tracks lets hope this continues. And with input from Brian and Pat, song writng and singing, it should be an intersting effort, more varied. Keep your eyes on the a/v section on the main site for possible mp3s of new recordings.
