Cybergoth (name already in use)

Appearance: Walked straight out of the Matrix. This species has the most bizarre and strictest dress code and will violently outcast the poor relation who does not own a Cyberdog top. Platform boots (we're talking six inch heels minimum and covered with metal plates, outrageous spikes etc), usually Transmuters. Wrapover window skirts/puffa miniskirts/anything showing indecent amount of leg.
Goth (name already in use)

Appearance: Evil medieval. Great deal of lace and crushed velvet in black, purple or crimson, however, equally favours PVC, rubber and latex. Frilled shirts, hooded capes and long flowing corseted dresses are common. Often both sexes sport a quantity of silver jewellery, particularly articulated rings.
Classically hair is dyed a severe black, usually long, and often in long bunches among the women. The die-hard Eighties goth typically sports a black spiked mullet.
Distinguished by excessive makeup; at the very least involving thick black eyeliner often elaborate facial designs.

Musical Taste: Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy,

Hair is often wild; UV reactive dreadlocks, foam or rexlace plastic tubing extensions (see Dreads pages for more), worn in huge bunches preferably. Die hard Cyber goths will often have a severe undercut. Often large goggles of the blast variety are worn on forehead (but when do they ever actually put them on, anybody know?) Very artistic makeup in crazy shades, and the hardcore cyber goth shaves their eyebrows completely, replacing them with an almost vertical line.
Notes: Mr Man in the Street, at fault once again, will bellow "Oy Goth!" at anything wearing black. However, a true goth will qualify in at least three of these categories:

Notes: Usually only to be found in larger cities, presumably because a) there isn't a club playing their stuff in the country and they won't mix with commoners! b) Little Haythorn is wary of people with bright blue hair and rubber clothing (author has proved this theory in her own village. Or maybe it was her face, not the clothes that scared them.

This species varies the most greatly of all, depending on whether it is urban, rural or ancient. Urban goths may choose to wear pin striped suits in lieu of more outmoded velvet frocks.
