The [Final] Pict Fontier

Not that great of a name, is it

Version 1.0.2 beta is now available.  After testing (and possible bug fixes), the project is over.

It requires a 68020 with system 7 or later, but it's pretty much the dialogs that prevent it from running on 6.0.3 -- the program won't check for system 7, in effort to give system 6.0.3 users a try at running it (it only checks to see if Color QuickDraw and a few traps are available).  E-mail me about any significant problems on using it.

Rectangle tool: to create source rectangles.
Hand tool: to drag source rectangles.

 Paint tools

Paint Rectangle/Oval tool: to render rectangles or ovals (Shift key) on the source image with the forecolor or backcolor (Command key).
Hold down the Command key when clicking on the palette button to change the frame width and height - if both are zero, the default and minimum, the tools renders "filled" rectangles/ovals

Pencil tool: to draw free-hand style lines on the source image using the forecolor.
Hold down the Command key when clicking on the palette button to change the pencil width and height - 1x1 is the default and minimum

Hold down the Command key when clicking on the palette button to change the line width and height - 1x1 is the default and minimum

Holding down the option key temporarily switches the current paint-tool to a dropper tool to set the fore or back color to a pixel on the source image.

The forecolor and background color: click to set

Help & Tips

Usually if a program crashes because of an error type 1, it probably doesn't have enough memory. If it has enough memory, then check with the person who made it cause it might be a piece of crap.
If Pictfontier or some of the other programs quit for some unknown reason, there might not be enough memory to open a dialog, or there may be a virus present. If so, scan the drive for virusses and replace the copy with a fresh one.

If you do not see the problem in the list, send an E-Mail to my main E-Mail address.

 Tips for the Paint tools

To erase, hold down the Command key.
To constrain the line tool to 45 degrees, hold down the shift key while dragging.
