Its really not hard to learn to use CC&P and once you get the hang of it you will use it alot.
Useing copy, cut and paste will save you alot of time in editing email sigs and home pages. It also helps to make sure you have the correct url or code.
This is how to do it
Hit your "find" key and in the box, type the first word that you want to copy. Hit the "return" key and it will take you to that word, which will now be high lighted. Holding down the "shift" key, use your "down arrow" key to high light all the text you want to copy. Then hold down the "cmd" key and hit the "c" key. That will copy the text. Next hold down the "cmd" key and hit the "x" key. That will cut the text. Then go to your sig box or home page and hold down "cmd" key and hit the "v" key. That will paste the code on your page.
To copy a whole page hold down the "cmd" key and hit the "a" key. Then just hit cmd c , cmd x and cmd v.
Here's the IMPORTANT PART!! WebTv has a CCP bug, that inserts spaces in the codes, usually in the image part. After you have pasted the code, check for spaces. Any space in the code will render it inactive and you will end up with a box that looks empty.
pretty do lphins.gif. See the space between the o & the l in dolphins ? Move your cursor to the left side of the l and hit the delete button. You MUST remove the spaces or the codes will NOT work.
A really neat person, Roland, has shared the following with me and I am passing along the tips to you.
Just stoped in to see your sig.'s I droped in on your cc&p instructions, and was glad to see that you had mentioned the line breaks. I first was introduced to them when trying to get javascript to work. Unlike what most people think, I have proof that we can get it to work on webtv, through a little persaverance. Not knowing javerscript, it wasn't easy to remove linebreaks, not knowing what was ment to be together. LOL A point to mention though, is that not all line breaks are visable. If they hapen to fall at the end of a row, they land in the boarder. I found that a good practice is to place my curser in-between // ie. http:// and then press the spacer bar. When the last word has moved to the next row, you will SEE the break as mentioned in your instructions. After deleteing the break, return your curser to the break that yo created and re-assemble that ( / / ) back to ( // ) . I also found that if you want to know Just where the links are broken, It is helpful to copy the intire page with the comand A key, and paste it in a mail adressed to yourself, so long as anything is typed first, or it will show the gif's and not the links. The http link will be in a different color type, and will return to the normal colored text AT THE BREAK ! You can test all the links from the mail you sent yourself. Well now that you know my secrets, you might want to let others know as well. These were my OWN findings and till now were not revieled to anyone, but seeing as though you wrote your OWN cc&p instructions and was kind enough to mention a counter attack, you are more then welcome to add the info to let others know as well. P.S. If you have nothing to do and want a place to have fun on the web, check out my site at "http://www.learn.at/mypage"
