 Woodstock 1969 Photos | by Marge Goldman for the Monticello Evening News Festival Aftermath 1969 The Aquarian Festival has come and gone Leaving Sullivan County all alone. With folks talking in the streets of our towns Some with smiles, some with frowns. It was with mixed opinions our citizenry talked, Some all for it, while others balked. But good or bad, happy or sad It was quite an experience We all had ! We won't soon forget it Nor will the kids- Who came here expecting To be put on the skids. They went away praising our entire county Which gave them love, shelter and bounty. Letters and calls have come in by the dozens From grateful parents, friends and cousins. It was an experience for all involved Three days of bedlam Around which the music revolved. Note from Narnie... Marge is still a beautiful lady and she lives in Florida. |
