Currently serve as the station's Assistant to GM/Sports Director/Morning Show Co-Host/Music Director. Included in duties are:

– Play-by-Play sports
– Sportscasts five times per day
– Produce and host weekly half-hour high school football show in fall
– Produce and host weekly half-hour sports talk show during high school season
– Morning show co-host
– Program new music for airplay
– Assist with production and promotions, including hosting remote broadcasts
– Assist with the daily maintenance of the station's web site (www.kvay.com), including the creation of new pages.
– Serve as the fill-in person for the traffic department
– Fill-in on-air for anything needed. Have helped with News and Agriculture News departments, including newscasts and ag future market recaps

VanHawke-Johnson Communications – WKAM-AM/WZOW-FM, Goshen, IN 7/99-10/00

Was News Director for both stations, while also assisting the Operations Manager. Included in duties were:

– Play-by-Play sports
– News and Sportscasts on AM and FM in mornings
– Produce weekly half-hour high school football show in fall
– Serve as the fill-in person for the traffic department
– In charge of Web Page maintenance
– Assist with production and promotions
– Fill-in on-air for both stations as well as have own weekend air shift
Jason Communications – WVHQ-FM/WDOW-AM, Dowagiac, MI 7/99

Assisted in ownership transition, training staff on traffic, music scheduling and news preparation.

Van Hawke Communications — WVHQ-FM/WDOW-AM, Dowagiac, MI 8/98-7/99

Served as station’s Operations Manager. Duties included:

– Play-by-Play of Dowagiac Chieftans football
– Morning show shift
– Traffic
– Production and other voice-overs
– Make appearances at station remote broadcasts
– Assist in programming music for the FM station
Kent Broadcasting Co., T/A WCTR-AM Radio, Chestertown, MD 10/88-8/98

Was station’s Sports Director and Operations Manager

Broadcasted over 300 play-by-play sports events for the station, including eight high school state championship and collegiate national championship games. Was the station’s voice for:

– Washington College and High School Lacrosse
– High School Football
– Washington College Men’s and Women’s Basketball
– College, American Legion and Babe Ruth Baseball
Other duties included:
– Hosting a local sports talk show
– Anchored four sports reports per day
– Serve as primary news anchor from April 1997 to August 1998.

Served as Sports Editor. Also wrote news stories and sports-related op/ed pieces. Among duties were layout of sports pages and editing/writing of copy. Also worked as stringer from June 1990 until July 1998.

Served as Junior Varsity Girls Basketball head coach (was a volunteer for first year).

Served as head coach for 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball.

Kent County Parks and Recreation, Worton, MD 9/90-8/94

Was recreation leader. Handled number of tasks, including scheduling of sports events, media relations and after-school program instructor.

Chesapeake Bank and Trust, Chestertown, MD 1/87-1/90

Worked in Bookkeeping Dept. Responsibilities included the input of new accounts onto bank’s data processing system, and troubleshooting system problems.
