| Daddy Bear and Company |
| Originally conceived in 1997, Daddy Bear and Company is a professional, multicultural theatre ensemble dedicated to the creation and progression of original plays, as well as innovative adaptations of classical theatre. Daddy Bear is committed to respecting the individual artist, regardless of race, creed, gender, or level of experience. Professional courtesy, regard, the willingness to listen with consideration, and the understanding of the power of the written and spoken word, are the standbys of this company. We feel that the tenets of non-traditional casting are to be adhered rather than paid lip service to. We also feel that Daddy Bear and Co. should stand as an open forum for all artists; directors, writers, actors, etc. to be given opportunities, that they may not necessarily receive in the commercial theatre world, in order to have their own unique, creative visions and voices seen and heard. Daddy Bear and Company comprehends fully how theatre is inclusive of all peoples, cultures, works of literature, and original thought, and it is our intention as an acting ensemble to embrace these significant concepts with the utmost dignity and deferential approval. |
