Hey Hey!  Yeah it's been a long time.  I'll be honest, i got careless.  The webpage stopped interesting me.  I didn't have anything to say and i figured if i did the world wide web didn't need to know about it.  But hey i'm back tonight, so what's goin' on?

I'll tell you what's going on.  Tonight my friends and i watched the movie, The Debut.  Yeah, yeah, i know.  I was one of the biggest skeptics of that movie.  I didn't want anything to do with that stereotypical Filipino crap.  Hell, i still don't want anything to do with all that stereotypical crap.  Damn typpies.  But i went into that movie just wanting a good laugh at all the typpies, which i gladly received.  But i also left with a greater appreciation of the serious aspects of life as a Filipino-American.  Yeah there were thugs, pager-fiend girls, and dropped import cars, which i got a kick out of, but as the movie progressed, i quit laughing and appreciated the film.  I was surprised at how it accurately portrayed the great pride that Filipino parents carry, and it showed how that same pride creates strenuous relationships with their children.  I know everyone can relate to that type of thing.  It was an honest movie.  As my buddy Eric said, glad to see that they made a movie that honestly and accurately portrayed Filipinos and wasn't candy coated.

If you've ever been to my page before, you know i can't stand typpieness.  The Debut definitely had typpie elements, but if you're Filipino, take a look at the film.  Shoot, and even if you're not Filipino, watch the movie too, i want to know how a non-filipino will react to it.

I'll leave you guys with this:  I shun being typpie, but there is nothing wrong with being Filipino.
