Hey people. Today marked my first official day as an employee of the CSUSM Instructional Computer Lab. Well ok, so it wasn't really work, it was just training, but hey i got paid for it. It looks like this computer lab gig is gonna be pretty cool. Other than the fact i will be at school beginning at 8am, it can't be that bad because i get to see pretty much every student on campus, and that means seeing the campus hotties and more opportunities to capitalize. Huaaaaa.
Speaking of opportunities to capitalize, today also marked day one of the 30/30 plan. Basically, the goal of this project is to get over shyness. My friends got the idea from MH-18 magazine, Men's Health for teens. You talk to one girl that you've never talked to before ever for a minimum of one minute each day. A different girl each day for 30 days. Sounds like a good plan, i mean, how are you going to get the opportunity to capitalize on someone when you can't even talk to them right. Well ok Day One didn't work out so well. I figured since i was going to be at training i'd meet someone in training. Turns out all the computer lab employees are single guys who want to see the hotties of the school too. Damn computer geeks.
Ok, so after training, me and my friend Pete, go to the help desk to talk to Chris and Joseph. On our way there, we are waiting for the elevator, and we are talking, and then we see this hot white chick. We stopped talking. Elevator doors open, we let her walk in. I'm thinking, cool this is an opportunity. Damnit, no it's not, she's on her cell phone. We get to our floor, and Pete smiles and says "Bye!" to her. Haha i started laughing because not a word was exchanged in the elevator the whole time. But then Pete is like "Sometimes it works and they remember you, other times they just think you are stupid. But oh well." Heh, makes sense to me.
So me and Pete part ways, i get thirsty so i buy a drink. As i'm buying my drink, i spot this cute filipino girl. Yay, opportunity number two. She walks out before i'm done paying, i go outside look in all directions, can't find her. Walk more, yes, she's sitting at a table. But no, she's smacking a pack of cigarettes against her hand. Sorry, but i don't do smokers.
So i'm walking to my car, i'm like shoot, Mart Jahnkes is gonna complete the mission. So i decide to go to North County Fair, with no purpose but to find someone to talk to. Turns out only girls who are at North County Fair at 330pm are the ones shopping with either their moms for school or the ones shopping with their boyfriends. But i did catch a good sale while i was at the mall. Macy's had a clearance rack of a bunch of button down shirts for only 10 bucks. Had to jump on that deal. Geoffrey Beane is a good guy.
Ok anyway, Day One of Project 30/30 was a successful failure. I don't know if it was just me, or there were no opportunities. Oh well, since the 30 days has no specific start date, i can always start tomorrow right. So hopefully tomorrow will be a successful Day One of Project 30/30. Thank you and good night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!!!!!!!!!!! Hehe, that goes out to my niece who turns 11. Wowers..she's old, or am i old? I remember when she was born and i was in 3rd grade. Everyone in my class is like "Oh my gosh, whats it feel like to be an uncle in 3rd grade?" Well it was kind of weird...but it was still pretty cool. Then she bugged me and Jon every time we were playing because she always tagged along and we didn't want this little kid tagging along. Haha, now she does that to her brother, Nathan, who is 5 and starts kindergarten on Thursday. Haha kids are hilarious, i'd love to be a kid again.
Well, i also need to say congratulations to the newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Marianne and Ronald Quintos. Congratualtions you two. Ann is almost a big sister because i grew up with her brother Jon, so i'm truly happy that her and Ron found each other. They fit so perfectly together. Ron is just such a good guy, he's Geej. And he really is a kid stuck in a big guy's body. Congratulations you two and i know that you both will be loving each other forever.
Man, weddings are such happy occasions. I'm such a sap. I like weddings. I want to get married now after going to Ann and Ron's wedding, remembering my sister's wedding 5 years ago, it's such a joyful occasion. Witnessing two people confess their true love for each other, gosh it makes me choke up. I mean the "feeling of life" is love isn't it? Well there are many other emotions, but love is the one great emotion that holds all things together. And its such a joy to truly share that with someone. And since i don't have someone to share it with right now, might as well watch two people share their eternal love with each other. It's just great.
Well, on our quest for love we are bound to come across stumbling blocks. My latest stumbling block is interesting. The more i look at it now, i think i fell into the trap that my buddy has fallen into many time in the past; liking someone just because they are there. I mean hey i'm still kinda pissed about how the whole situation, but really, when i talk to my friends and stuff..i really think i just liked her because she was there. Got friends and relatives saying i should go out, hell it gets in your head. Oh well, it's over now, what can i do right. Well do what i always do with situations, learn from it. What good is a bad situation if you can't learn from it. So message to you people, don't be an idiot and like someone just because they are there. And another message, don't lie and hide things, thats always a good thing to keep in mind, especially when person you are hiding it from is as smart as Mart Jahnkes.
Anyway, Happy Birthday Ashely, Congratulations Ann and Ron, and umm happy monday i guess. So "Now it's time for so long...but we'll sing just one more song...thanks for doin' your part, you sure are smart, with me and you, and my dog Blue, we can do anything...that we wanna do. Bye, See you later. Bye Bye."
