TIME MANAGEMENT
Top 10 Tips

                  Write tasks down in a
planner and include the date to
                  be completed.

Plan enough time to complete tasks.  Make sure you plan for
                 unexpected events.

Do not plan really long study sessions.  Your attention may
begin to wander especially when reviewing for exams.

Before you begin set clear goals as to what you would like
to accomplish during this study session.  Ask your self what you
want to complete/research/write/read and stop when you
                  have finished this

Plan the week ahead, try to do this at the same time each
week.  Make sure you include any long term assignments in
                  these plans.

As you create your plan, prioritize what must be done first,
second etc.  This can be determined both by the due date and
the amount of work involved in any assignment.  Allow
realistic  amounts of time for assignments.

Shorter, regular sessions are more effective than long
ones.   Take breaks to stretch your legs, drink water and keep
                   your body moving.

Use your computer if it helps you use your time more
efficiently.  Remember when you word process an essay
the second draft corrections are easier than re-writing
                    the entire essay.

At the end of each session, review what you have
accomplished and highlight what needs to be
                    completed.  Remember to congratulate yourself
                    for all you have accomplished.

.  Create a weekly schedule to determine how much time
you have for your studies each week.  Remember there
are 168 hours in a week.  Subtract 63 for sleeping
and 35 for school and your left with 70 hours.  Now
subtract 10 hours for studying.  This still leaves you
with 60 hours each week for other activities.  Creating
this schedule helps you become more aware of your
time and use it more efficiently.
