Books have played an important role in my life. I guess you can
call me a bookworm! The most important things in my life are books. I could
not live with out them. I don't always read them, but I do read a lot.
I just like to have them around me, they give me a feeling of warmth and
security. Call me CRAZY!
This is Yukio Mishima.
My favorite book that he wrote is called "Forbidden Colors", and another
is "Confessions of a Mask". The main idea of these books, are questions
of identity and who we are.
This is George Orwell.
He is my favorite author. The two books which I recommend are "1984" and
"Animal Farm". These books influenced my thoughts on governments and authority.
This is Albert
Camus. I first learned of Existentialism from reading "The Stranger".
I started to really think about myself when I first read him. Other favorites
include "The Plague" and "A Happy Death".
This is Henry Miller. I feel his
important work is "Sexus". The majority of his works were published in
Europe due to the sexual content. I enjoy his style which is flowing and
very humorous. He was a man before his time.
This is Sherman Alexie.
Along with Stephen King, he is my favorite contemporary writer. He
is of course of Native descent. His books are a look into Native
life viewed through comedy.
