The Fabulous Five are a group of five (duh) best friends: Jana, Melanie, Christie, Beth, and Katie- residents of Bridgeport, CT. The girls' adventures start in "The Against Taffy Sinclair Club", which takes place during their 5th grade year, when they form a club against a girl they hate at school. The books in the Taffy Sinclair series mainly follow the ups and downs of The Fab Five's 'leader', Jana Morgan's, 6th grade year, but all five girls get their own stories in the actual series titled The Fabulous Five (all about their first year as 7th graders at Wakeman Junior High). All five of the girls have different personalities and interests, and each brings a unique quality to the clique. Naturally, everyone who reads these books will have their favorite, but you really can't help but like all the members of these special group of friends. :-)
