Connor, Angel and Nina are sitting around a scrabble board. We see the scorecard, Connors is winning with Nina not to far behind but Angel is somewhere in the dust of losing. It Connor�s turn
Connor: sushi
Nina looks surprise
Nina: nice
Angel up mumbles and adds up the score
Angel: now I *know* we�re board we�re playing scrabble
Nina: well with Willow in Mississippi with her girlfriend, which is sad really. I thought Kitty�s dad was getting better.
She shakes her head
Connor: and Spike and Illyria going to the fights, Faith figured it was a good time to go and see Stacy. I wasn�t going to tag along for that.
Nina looks at the board then places down some letters.
Nina: Quantum
Connor: ouch�. How in god�s name did you pull that one?
Nina: got lucky
Angel with nothing but vowels and on consonant, sighs.
Angel: man
Suddenly the doors fly wide open
Everyone jumps and turn to face the door but doesn�t see anything. Angel get gets up and heads to the doors
Angel: must have been the wind
Then Nina screams and Connor jumps up into a fighting stance. Angel comes running over to what Nina was screaming about. Up on the wall is a picture the of the old gang, the one with Cordy, Wes, and Angel, is floating by its self. Angel lets out a sigh in relieve.
Angel: Gods �. Dennis is that you?
The picture is tossed to Angel as a yes. Nina and Connor look at each other funny. Angel sets the picture down.
Angel: it�s ok its just Dennis.
Nina: and Dennis is who?
Angel: Cordy�s old roommate, he�s a ghost
There is a hard wind
Angel: ok so maybe you don�t like but that�s what you are
Connor turn around as a wind goes by him.
Angel: good question? Dennis, what the answer?
Before Dennis could do anything the doors open again, this time a very normal looking family, a mom, dad, and daughter about 3 or 4 years old, are standing on the steps.
Girl: he�s here
Angel: can I help you?
Connor runs over and cleans up the scrabble board
Mom: I hope so, we�ve been looking for some help with our problem for a little while and all we get is the ring around.
Dad: who�s in charged here?
Angel: I am
Dad: ok I�m Mr. Q, Sam
Angel: why don�t we step into my office and tell me what going on
Sam and angel head into the office
Mrs. Q heads over to Nina, who has manage to walkover to the counter.
Mrs.Q: my names Nicole and this is Emily
She waves over for Emily to join her. Nina just smiles at her.
Nina: I�m Nina and this is Connor
Pan to office
Angel is sitting behind the deck and Sam is sitting in front
Angel: ok so what seems to be the problem
Sam: I know this is going to sound stupid but it�s the truth I swear
Angel: what is it?
Sam: it�s our apartment, it�s haunted
END TEASER
Open in office
Angel is sitting back in his chair
Angel at a whisper: that�s makes since now
Sam looks at him funny
Sam: what?
Angel sits up in his chair
Angel: nothing, um listen can you give me some info about you place
Sam: the person who had it last just diapered and ever since we�ve lived there, strange things happen, we tried to live with it at first and then we could handle it anymore. Little Emily pretends to be able to see it, we at first thought she just had an over active imagination, but this is getting really bad
Angel: bad how?
Sam: things would move on their own, and things would be one place at night but in the morning they wouldn�t be there
Angel lowers his head and put a hand to his forehead
Angel: Dennis
Sam: what?
Angel looks at Sam
Angel: nothing, it�s ok we�ll look into it
Angel and Sam stand up and shake hands, they head out the office. Sam waves over to Nicole and Emily, who say good-bye and head out the door, leaving Angel, Nina and Connor standing alone in the lobby. Angel is not happy.
Angel: DENNIS!! MY OFFICE NOW!!!
Nina and Connor look at each other really confused.
Angel heads back into the office and shut the door
Nina: I wonder what�s going on?
Connor: if I remember correctly Dennis was Cordy�s old roommate. I didn�t get to meet him but he was a big part of her life.
Pan to Office
Angel is pacing
Angel: Dennis what�s going on? I thought we agreed that you weren�t going to mess with the new tenants. I get you miss Cordy we all do but not here anymore, so what�s going on?
A book off of Angel�s shelf comes flying off and lands open on Angels desk, to a page that has an exorcist spell on it. Angel is taken back.
Angel: they tried to get rid of you?
A hard wind is all the answer he needs
Angel: Jesus, Dennis, why didn�t you come sooner?
He puts his hands on his head, and is pacing some more
Angel: Gods Dennis, I don�t know how to help you.
Angel sighs, drops his arms and heads out the office
Pan to lobby
Angel joins Connor and Nina
Nina: what�s going on?
Connor just look at Angel, Angel lets out a sigh
Angel: I�m not sure how it got started but the Q�s tried to get rid of Dennis
Nina: well that would make since
Angel looks at her
Angel: what do you mean?
Nina: well the girl Emily, something was different about her, I don�t know what but she seemed different
Angel: how old is she?
Connor: what does that have to do with anything?
Angel: children under the age of five tend to live in a different world than older people; they see things the way they really are.
Connor is taken back
Angel: that could be why she seemed off
Nina: no I mean there�s something else off about her, I can�t place it, but something isn�t right.
There is a cold wind around the group
Angel: ok Dennis I get the point but what are we going to do about you, uh? If that girl is gifted she�s going to have a hard enough time without, you hanging about.
Connor raises his hand
Connor: this maybe a stupid idea, but why doesn�t he stay her?
There is a sharp wind that hits Connor face and causes a small cut on his check
Angel: Dennis stop it NOW!!
Connor is holding his cheek to put pressure on the cut
Connor: its ok, I can se he isn�t that happy with that idea. I�ll just head up and clean this up.
Connor heads up the stairs with Nina following. Angel is left alone in the lobby.
Angel: Dennis, what the hell was that about? He was trying to be nice. I know your remember what happen, but he�s not like that anymore, he�s changed�. But never mind, Connor�s right why don�t you stay here? We could use all the help we can get and it would get you out of the Q�s place. We have more than plenty of rooms you can haunt, (lowers voice) maybe even scare Spike (shakes his head) never mind, what do you say?
There is a strong wind as an answer.
END ACT ONE
Open at the Garden, there is no one there; we zoom up to the door. We see Faith trying to unlock the doors as quietly as she can. Faith slowly opens the door but then it slams shut on her.
Faith: what the�
Faith tries to open it again but this time it wont open
Faith: oh Angel isn�t going to be happy about this at all
Spike and Illyria come walking up to the doors
Spike: I told you, you would like it
Illyria: humans fighting each other, yes I have to agree I was amused.
Spike sees Faith fighting with the door
Spike: hey Faith what�s up the door stuck?
Illyria looks around really strange.
