We see Angel and Spike fighting a demon, they�re kicking its ass. Angel kicks the demon over to Spike who snaps the demons neck

Angel watches Spike head off and then heads off himself in the opposite direction. We stay in the graveyard a sec the see a being dressed all in army greens, talking on a radio.

The guy lift his hand and waves for four other guys, all in army greens, the guy lift two fingers and points them the way Spike went and the rest head the way Angel went.
Pan to sewers
We see Connor and Faith fighting a vamp nest. They dust the last of the vamps and share a quick kiss before heading off. We pull back and around a corner and again see a being in army greens, talking on a radio.

Being: two humans just took out a nest of hostiles

We see the guy pull back and slowly follow Connor and Faith

We see Spike and Angel arguing over something when Connor and Faith come walking up

Angel: no just an old argument that we never finish.
Connor looks at Angel with a knowing smile

Connor starts to head inside the Hyperion but stops right before going in and turns around

We see two black out vans in front, inside our two groups in army greens

We see Nina sitting at the counter playing with the computer when Connor comes running in.

The doors open again and Faith comes in. She raises her hands while walking in to the lobby.
Faith: I don�t want to know
Faith looks around
Faith: where�s Willow?
Nina: she and Illyria went out. Willow was having a majick kick and need to work off some extra
Connor: she�s becoming wickedly scary and powerful
Nina: yeah
Faith: think we should go after them?
Connor: yeah they might need some help
Nina shakes her head, and then heads up the stairs while Connor and Faith head out the front door.
Pan to garden
Angel and Spike are still auguring when all of a sudden both shut up tight then go into fighting stances, when a slue of army green guys jump out and attack them. There are about six or seven guys fighting Spike and Angel has about eight or nine guys fighting him. Both are shocked from behind at the same time and we see them fall to the ground.
Guy: alpha team to beta team
Radio: beta team
Guy: we got the hostiles, back out
Radio: yes sir
The group ties up Angel and Spike and drags them away
Pan to lobby
The lobby is bare, no trace of anyone inside, we zoom to the stairs and see Nina coming down with a towel over her head. She sees that Angel and Spike aren�t anywhere near, she heads out to the garden
Nina: Angel?
When she doesn�t get an answer she starts to worry and runs back inside and grabs the phone. She tries Angel phone but doesn�t get and answer.
Nina: figures
When she tries Spikes and doesn�t get an answer she starts to worry even more.
Nina: shit
She then calls Faiths phone
Faith on phone: yo
Nina: Faith it�s me, look Angel and Spike are missing
Faith on phone: you sure they didn�t just head out?
Nina: no, I�I� was in the shower and I heard something that sounded like fighting, but I just ignored it, figured it was Spike and Angel, but when I came out something felt wrong and there missing.
Faith on phone: ok, Connor and I will get Willow and Illyria and come back. Nina chill they�re fine I�m sure

We see the group sitting in the lobby
Illyria: someone was here, you were right to worry
She heads out to the garden and stops, the rest get up and follow her out.
Illyria: the energy here is different
Willow: she not wrong, I can feel it
Faith holds on to Nina
Faith: don�t worry we�ll find them
Pan to lab cell
We see Spike and Angel on the ground. They�re both starting to stir

Angel sits up and smacks Spike. Spike sits straight up and looks around

Spike gets up and walks over to the glass window and raises his hand and puts it to the glass and gets shock. Angel stands and looks around.

Spike morphs and runs towards the glass but gets shock

He hits the glass again and gets shocked back

Spike walks over to a corner and has a seat, looking like he is going to cry or tear the place apart with his bare hands. Angel walks over to him and kneels.

END ACT ONE
Open back in lab cell
Angel and Spike are looking strangely at the glass
Spike: they wouldn�t be that stupid, would they?
There�s another howl
Angel: dammit, I guess they are
Spike: those dumb fucks, they brought a Sickle demon here? God damn it we have to get out of here like yesterday.
Angel looks around but doesn�t see anything that can be used when suddenly there are two darts that shoot out of the wall and at Angel and Spike�s neck, knocking them both unconscious.
Pan to white lab room
We see Angel on a table strapped down around the neck, the feet, the waist, and arms. We see that there are scientists walking around angel as angel starts to wake up.
Angel: ugh
Scientist one: this one is from the old days, the test shows over 200 years at least, and there is also something else.
Scientist two: what
Scientist1: here look
Scientist 2 looks at the chart scientist 1 hands him
Scientist2: animal blood?
Scientist1: the same as hostile 39J
Scientist 2: these two were together and both on animal blood? Strange.
Angel senses where he is and starts to fight and morphs. While he does it he scares the Scientists a little.
Angel: Spike, dammit, where�s Spike?
Scientist 1: quite him
Scientist2 shoots Angel with more drugs and he goes unconscious.
Pan to another white lab room
Same thing but with Spike on the table. He starts to wake up but remains quite and listens.
Scientist 1: the same as 40 J?
Scientist 2: yes animal blood
Scientist 1: well since he�s unconscious unstrap him and then begin the test.
The scientist 2 unstraps Spike and Spike�s eyes shoot wide open and he grabs the scientist.
Spike: sorry aint going to stay this time either, mate
He throws the scientist across the room and braces for the pain in his head but none hits. Spike smiles and lets out a howl
Spike: you stupid fucks
He hits the scientist 1 and runs out of the room.
Pan to corridor
Spike stops and morphs into game face and tries to pick out Angels sent but can�t. He sifts back into human face and heads down the corridor.
Spike: hope he can get out himself
Spike heads past a set of doors and down another corridor when suddenly he stops at a door. He morphs into game face and sniffs the air, he shift back into human face and looks into the room.
Spike: shit Angel
Spike tears open the door and hits the two scientists to the floor. Spike turns to Angel and undoes the straps and tries to sit him up while slapping his face.
Spike: Angel, Angel come on you stupid ponce
Angel: ugh� William?
Spike: oi!!!!
Angel shakes his head and takes in where he is
Angel: dammit Spike, what the hell?
Spike: later lets go
All of a sudden there is a wail over the P.A. system
P.A.: fire in the cages, there is a fire in the cages
Spike and Angel look at each other
Spike: crap, when did Sickle demons become active?
Angel is getting to his feet
Angel: my guess is someone pissed it off
Angel and Spike head out the room and head down the corridor. They run through two doors and down another corridor, but this one has cages as they run pass they see some demons sitting in the cages, the demons look up and see Angel and Spike go by.
Angel is about to head past one cage when he senses something
Angel: Bracken?
Angel turns around and heads to the cage he senses.
Angel: Shit Spike!
Spike head toward Angel and sees the Bracken sitting on the ground. He heads to the guard station that is a table with a computer on it at the end of the corridor.
Spike: yeah, yeah
Spike types on the computer and suddenly all the glass windows drop. Some of the demons head out and look at Spike then at Angel. Confused the Bracken looks really strange at Angel.
Angel: go get on out of here
The demons don�t have to be told twice and all head right, and pass another set of doors and into another corridor of cages. Angel and Spike are right behind them. When they enter the corridor Spike stops by the computer and undoes the cages. Angel morphs when some of the demons start to head his way, but they back off and head the other way. Spike and Angel start to head down the hall when Spike stops, he looks into one of the cages and sees a newbie vamp in human face, the girl is ghostly pale and is gnawing on her arm. Angel looks at Spike.
Angel: Spike come on
Spike: Angel I can�t leave her... I just cant�if she�s like the way I was� I just can�t
Angel: your responsible for her. You understand!?!
Spike: yeah fine whatever
Spike walks into the cage and kneels at the girl, and morphs. The girl looks up at Spike, she�s no older than 15, max.
Girl: Momma? Sire?
Spikes eyes shoot up to his eyebrows, Angel turns his head, not sure he heard right.
Spike: shit Angel she�s a newborn childe
Angel: shit, grab her and lets go
Spike picks the girl up and is shock to find out the girl weighs nothing at all. She is ghostly pale all over and has a few places on her arm where she is cracking. Angel sees this.
Angel: shit Spike look at that
He points to her arm, and Spike sees it too
Spike: have you fed?
The girl shakes her head
Girl: they got me before I woke, momma, was already gone. I don�t know where she is but she�s still alive.
Spike: how do you know?
Girl: we always had a bond together even alive, we could always tell if the other was hurt

Angel sighs
Angel: fine we�ll take her but she�s your, I don�t need Faith or Connor or Willow being eaten
Spike nods his head and heads down the corridor. Angel is right behind him.
Pan to warehouse
They run down the hallway until they�re in a warehouse where there are demons fighting with soldiers and Scientist. Angel and Spike look at each other and nod. Spike puts the girl down in a corner
Spike: I want you to stay here got it?
The girl nods
Two scientist head after Spike while four GI Joes go after Angel. Spike kicks one of the scientist in the gut and he goes down the second scientist is on Spikes back when Spike hears a scream. Spike spins so fast he throws the scientist off him and see the girl in the corner on her knees clutching her head with two GI Joes about ready to attack. Spike snarls and heads back to the girl he knocks the soldiers out of the ways and one of them hits the wall. Spike kneels to the girl, who has tears in her eyes
Spike: what happen?
Girl: I�I�I�don�t know they were about to attack me when there was this pain in my head�
The girl can hardly stay conscious, and passes out as Angel walks up to Spike. He puts a hand on Spikes shoulder. Spike turns around and sees that most of the fight has died down and only a few squabbles are still going on, but the P.A. system is still going strong, he looks up at Angel and Angel knows
Angel: very well we�ll watch her but like I said she�s yours
Spike picks up the girl and follow Angel out the warehouse
BLACK OUT
END OF ACT 2
Open outside night middle of L.A.
We see Angel and Spike, whose carrying the girl, come running out. They are about a block and a half when there is an explosion behind them. Both of them spin around and see the building going up in flames. They look at each other and nod then they head off down the street

We see the group in the lobby talking
Connor: the only thing we could find out is that there seems to be a lot of missing demons lately, no one knows why
Willow: I couldn�t find them doing a locator spell either
Faith: and none of the contacts have seen them
Nina is sitting at the counter about to go into tears when Illyria straights up and faces the door, when it opens Angel and Spike come in. Spike is carrying the girl close to him

She runs around the counter and heads to him and grabs him in a hug, he hugs her back and she looks up
Nina: where the hell have you been?
Illyria walks up to Spike and sees the girl in his arms
Illyria: what is that half-breed doing here?
Spike heads down the stairs with the group looking at him. Spike faces Willow
Spike: she�s like how I was. I couldn�t leave her

Angel: he couldn�t leave her. She hasn�t even ever had a meal, she�s a newborn. We don�t know if her sire is still alive but she thinks so.
Faith: wait she�s a vamp? And Spike�s helping her?
Willow: whoa, Faith down let me explain

Connor crosses his arms in front of his chest, clearly not happy about this.
Willow: a while back in Sunndydale there was this group called the �Initiative�. They would kidnap demons and do all sorts of experiments on them. Well Spike before he got his soul got caught and they put a chip in his head, it stopped him from hurting humans.
Connor: not to sound off but what�s wrong with that?
Willow: it also stopped him from being able to defend himself, and any given time we could�ve dusted him and there would have been no way for him to stop us.
Faith: and there my friend lies the problem, right?
Willow nods, then looks over at Angel
Angel: the girl has the same thing, she couldn�t even defend herself and Spike felt he had to do something.
Connor: and you�re saying yes?
Nina looks at Angel with tears in her eyes
Nina: you were there? gods did they do anything do you?
Angel shakes his head then looks at Connor
Angel: I told Spike that she is his responsibility so I don�t think she�ll cause much of a problem
Faith: if she does I swear� chip or not she�s dust
Willow looks at Angel
Willow: what are we going to do? Do we need to worry?
Angel: I don�t think we have to worry. They captured a pair of Sickle demons and I�m going to guess that they got pissed off, caused they started a fire in there. That�s how we got out, during the confusion. When we got out the building it went up so I don�t think they�re coming back anytime soon
Illyria comes down the stairs and walks over to angel and looks at him
Illyria: you condone him having that half-breed here?
Angel looks up at Illyria
Angel: as long as he has her in check, yes
Illyria cock her head and looks at him
Illyria: she is waking up. She says her name is Lynn. I do not understand what is a sire? She keeps calling for her sire.

Pan to bedroom
We see Lynn sitting on the bed slowly drinking the blood, with Spike sitting in a chair across from her. Lynn finishes the bag.
Lynn: I�m thankful and all but I need to find my momma she�s probably looking for me
Spike: you ain�t going anywhere
Lynn: why you helping me? Momma told me once, that all vamps fend for themselves, before she turned me
Spike: most do but not the type like you
Lynn: like me?
Spike: your sire, I�m guessing, your mom turned you into a childe, that�s not normal with modern vamps.
Suddenly there is a knock on the door and Faith and Connor enter looking at Spike then at Lynn
Faith: damn they really did a number on you
Spike: what do you want?
Connor: just came up here to make sure your ok
Faith: and to break in the house rules
Spike: awe thanks ducks, didn�t know you cared but I�ve got it covered
Spike stands and starts to heard Faith and Connor out. He shut the door behind them
Lynn: what was with them? They seemed different.
Spike turns around and sees Lynn in game face and sees what Faith was talking about. There is some of her game face missing and her fangs have been filed down. Spike comes over and lifts her chin to get a better view.

Lynn lowers her head
Lynn: I was kind of keeping it hidden.
She morphs back to human face
Lynn: who were they? Something about them was off
Spike: yeah well I don�t know how much you know but they are different than most humans
Lynn: like how?
Spike: lets just leave it at that but trust me you stay on their good side and they wont hurt you
Spike ruffles her hair a little.
Lynn: what did you mean earlier?
Spike: about?
Lynn: when you said I was a childe?
Spike lets out a sigh
Spike: look that�s something you and your sire need to cover, ok. I�ll help you find her.
Lynn hangs her head
Lynn: ok, but please answers me something, why are you helping me and not the other one?
Spike: Angel doesn�t understand what that chip will do to you. I do, I had one myself for three and half years, I know how hard it will be on you and your sire. You�re very lucky though, because your first meal was out of a bag, you�ve never had fresh blood. I on the other hand had to quit cold turkey
Lynn: how did you survive? I never, no offence, but that sound like something I would have killed myself over
Spike: nearly did. The day I tried to dust meself I learn I could fight demons.
Lynn tenses up at that and Spike lets out a small laugh
Spike: calm down, I ain�t going to be hurt you, pet, ok.
Lynn nods and Spike stands up
Spike: look why don�t you get some shuteye ok, I�ll be back in a while to make sure your ok
She nods and sides under the covers, looking like any other 15 year old should, Spike sighs and heads out turning off the light

We see Faith, Connor and Illyria standing around while Willow is working on the computer. They see Spike coming down the stairs.
Connor: dude, are you nuts? I mean I know you had something like it but still to bring a vamp here?
Faith: and one in that condition? There�s no telling where her brain is

All look at Illyria like she has lost her mind, even Willow looks up from her computer at that one.

She turns and head out to the garden

Spike: Willow can you handle this one I need to go talk to Angel

END ACT 3
Open bedroom
We see Angel sitting on the bed while Nina is patching him up. Spike is standing at the door
Angel: I told you Spike she�s yours I�m not going to help you
Spike: and I ain�t asking for any I just thought I�d tell you she�s asleep
Angel: fine
Spike: look I know you aren�t the happy about her being here but think how you would feel if it happen to Dru or worse: Connor.
Angel looks at Spike with a dead look on his face, he had never thought about that
Angel: what do you want?
Spike: I want to look for her sire. If she really does have a bond with her sire like she says then I should be able to find her fairly quickly
Nina is finishing wrapping Angel�s ribs and look at Spike
Nina: where do you want to start?
Spike: the base should be a good start
Angel: fine, if you can talk anyone else into helping you, take them with you
Spike: fine, whatever
Spike head out the room. Angel lays down on the bed and Nina lays down beside him
Nina: I don�t understand
Angel: what?
Nina: why you�re being so mean to Spike. He�s just trying to help someone in same shape he was in.
Angel: it has nothing to do with that
Nina: then what it�s about?
Angel: Spike� he never really has had much of a chance to do things for himself

Pan to Sewers
We see Lynn, spike, and Illyria walking around. Lynn in tuned out hearing anything. Spike looks around skeptically.
Spike: you sure about this?
Lynn turns her head and heads down a tunnel in full speed. She sees a figure sitting in a corner cowering, and crying.
Lynn: mom?
The figure looks up and we see a vamp with her face cut off and her fangs are missing completely.
Woman: Lynn?
Lynn runs over and holds the woman in a hug. The woman looks up from the hug and sees Spike and Illyria. She lets out a low growl but Lynn stops her.
Lynn: momma please don�t, they help me, please.
The woman looks at spike funny then stands up while holding Lynn close.
Woman: I�m sorry�. I just thought I lost her� I couldn�t feel her and well�. Sorry
Spike: its ok look like you�ve been through hell as it is
Woman: yeah well those damn humans are evil enough
She lets out a small laugh
Woman: and they say we�re soulless.
Lynn looks at spike and walks over give him a hug
Lynn: thank you
Illyria: we must leave here, now that you have been return, we must leave
The woman puts out a hand and Spike takes it
Woman: Thank you again
Spike and Illyria head off down a tunnel and we follow them. After a few minutes there is a loud scream and a loud growl going threw the tunnels. Spike looks at Illyria and makes a 180 and heads down the tunnels lighting fast. Illyria is not far behind. Spike comes in and sees some left over GI Joes with stakes in hand; Lynn is in a corner and her mom holding her tightly. Spike comes and knocks one out over the head. Illyria grabs the other and throws him around the tunnel. Lynn�s mom stands up and looks at spike really confused but really grateful
Woman: Thank��
Lynn lets out a scream that can pierce ears at seeing her mom turn to ash. Behind were she was, is a GI Joe, smiling. There is a small clank as a chip falls to the floor. Spike turns around and knocks the GI Joe over the head, knocking hi out cold. Lynn is shaking badly, Illyria come over looks down and picks up the chip on the ground and looks at it.
Illyria: this is all it is? I don�t understand, how did this stop you?
Spike looks at Illyria.
Spike: It�s hard to explain Illyria.
Spike tries to stand Lynn up but cant mover her.
Illyria: What is wrong with her?
Spike: I think its shock
Spike lets her go and bends over and picks her up.
Illyria: what are you doing?
Spike: I�m sure as hell not leaving her here like this.
Spike heads down the tunnels while Illyria follows.
PAN TO LOBBY
We see Faith and Connor in the lobby sparing. Illyria comes in the front doors holding them open for Spike who is carrying Lynn.
Faith stands up straight at seeing this.
Faith: What happen?
Connor spins around and sees Spike carrying Lynn pass him and up the stairs. Spike doesn�t answer but Illyria does.
Illyria: Her creator was destroyed before her.
Faith is shocked and Connor just shakes his head
Faith: so he brought her back here?
Illyria ignores Faith and heads up the stairs passing Willow on the stairs. Willow looks at Illyria and the Faith and Connor.
Willow: what�s going on?
Connor: Spike brought Lynn back here.
Willow: why?
Connor: her sire was killed in front of her from what we gather.
Willow: oh goddess
She turns around and heads back up the stairs and to the room Spike has Lynn in. She lightly taps on the door and enters. Lynn is on the bed with Spike pressing a cold cloth on her face; Illyria is standing off in a corner.
Willow: How is she?
Spike: she�s stronger than she looks but not really good.
Spike soaks some of the sweat off Lynn and then turns and faces Willow.
Spike: Willow can you do me a huge favor?
Willow: yeah sure what?
Spike pulls out a black book and tosses it to Willow.
Spike: Pick someone and get us a flight a.s.a.p.
Willow looks at the book then at Spike
Willow: what is this Spike?
Spike: those are some of the names I could get out of Lynn before we left just incase we didn�t find her mom. So she�d have some place to go. I�ll pay for it and everything just please, do this for me.
Willow looks at Lynn on the bed and then at Spike who has this painful look in his eyes, she nods and heads out the door.
Spike: Also tell his highness if you don�t mind.
Willow hollers back: I�ll send him up here and you can tell him.
Pan to Lobby
Willow comes walking in and sits down in front of the computer and starts to get the tickets when Faith and Connor come over.
Connor: what�s going on? What�s this Willow.
Connor picks up the little black book.
Willow: Spikes taking Lynn from here.
Faith: well good she doesn�t need to be here
Willow doesn�t answer
Connor: so what are you doing?
Willow: getting the tickets Spike asked for
Faith: whoa tickets?? As in he�s going too?
Angel: who�s going where?
Willow looks up and Faith and Connor turn to see Angel come in and grab some blood.
Angel: I thought everyone would be asleep
He glances at the computer and see Willow is getting tickets.
Angel: who�s going where?
Willow: Spike want to take Lynn out of here.
Angel nods his head and heads back to his room.
Connor and Faith and Willow both look at each other in awe.
Faith: well that was different
Willow: I don�t think so I�d hate to be Nina right now.
Pan to bedroom
We see Nina curled up asleep on the bed and Angel sitting in a chair drawing her, he looks up.
Angel: if its what he thinks he need to, so be it.
He goes back to drawing, Nina.
