World Heavyweight Championship

Written By: Tate

"Living Legend" Pimp Bizkit vs. "Lone Gunman" Lord John Taylor

Crumb: The champion, Pimp Bizkit, will defend his gold against a man he has faced three times before, Lord John Taylor.

Samson: These two have such a history together, this should be a hell of a match! Of course, Pimp will come out on top...

Nelson: These two know each other so well, it could go either way, folks.

Crumb: Here we go, the Best of the Best go at it for the business highest prize and to determine who is really the best this sport has to offer.

Nelson: What are you talking about? Pimp Bizkit has the World Heavyweight Championship belt, he is the best, there is no question.

Samson: Patrick is right. Like a great wrestler once said, "To be the Man, you have to beat the Man", and right now Pimp is the Man!

Torres:

“From Rapid City, South Dakota… Weighing in at two hundred and forty-four pounds and standing at six feet, four inches… He is the 2004 Lord Of The Coliseum and a former CCW Unified Heavyweight Champion… He is “The Lone Gunman” – LORD… JOHN… TAYLORRR!!!”

In a split-second, the generally calm crowd are turned upside down by the merciless grindcore intro of Scarlet’s “Something To Lust About”. The Zerotron switches to an ultraviolet live shot of the crowd as the lighting on the beach goes haywire, flickering on and off uncontrollably yet in time to the music. The Zerotron quickly switches to rapid-fire clips of in-ring action as “The Lone Gunman” Lord John Taylor emerges through the curtain and steps out onto the stage. His very presence ignites the crowd into vicious booing but they are instantly drowned out as the chorus kicks in, proclaiming the Lord Of The Coliseum to be “SO MUCH LARGER THAN LIFE!!!” The lighting portraying him and the entire beach in slow motion, Taylor continues down the ramp. Wiping a layer of sweat from his forehead and running it back through his slicked hair, Taylor jumps up onto the apron and steps through the middle and third ropes. He tests the ropes and comes to a halt in the centre of the ring as his music cuts out just as suddenly as it began. The lighting returns to normal.

The beach goes pitch black, and the entrance is lit up by Lime green lights leading down to the ring and "Imperium" by Machine Head begins to play. As the song begins to kick in Pimps name flashes in time with the tune for a while and as soon as the lyrics kick in there's a Flash, And Pimp appears at the top of the ramp way. Pimp slowly and cockily walks down the ramp, sneering at the crowd, Pimp then enters the ring by going through the ropes, and flexing his muscles to the crowd.

The two men stare at each other, with intensity. Senior Referee Richard Dark holds the belt up into the air, and then signals for the bell.

Crumb: Here we go!

Nelson: Both these guys better have brought their "A" Game tonight, because they are going to need it. Here we go!

After a brief staredown they finally lock up. Pimp knees Gunman in the midsection, then quickly hits a snap suplex. Gunman rolls to his feet, only to be thrown back down with a Northern Lights release suplex. Gunman stands up again, and swings with a clothesline, but Pimp ducks underneath going behind him. Pimp takes Gunman down with a German suplex, holds on, brings him up, and hits another German suplex. Pimp pulls Gunman to his feet and hits a fisherman's suplex into a pin, but Gunman kicks out after one. Pimp grabs Gunman again and tries to lift him up for another suplex, but Gunman blocks it. Pimp tries again, but Gunman still blocks it. Gunman strikes out with his knee, hitting Pimp a few times, then hits his own vertical suplex. Both men spring to their feet.

Crumb: Hey, guys, does any of this seem strangely familiar to you? Like this has happened before?

Nelson: ...I don't think so.

Samson: It must be your imagination, tool.

Crumb: No, I am serious. This is strangely reminiscent of their last two matches together. These two are both working like well oiled machines, and know each other's styles so well.

Nelson: Very true. They are putting on a clinic out there.

Pimp charges, but Gunman catches him and slams him down with a picture-perfect Samoan drop. Pimp immediately gets up and blocks an attempted punch from Gunman. Pimp connects with a punch of his own and then Gunman hits one. They brawl back and forth for a little while before Pimp tries to kick Gunman. Lord Taylor catches his leg and spins him round, locking on a sleeperhold. Gunman is able to subdue Pimp for a moment, but the Living Legend manages to grab one of the ropes with his hand. Senior Ref Dark forces Gunman to release the sleeper. Pimp grabs Gunman going for an Irish whip to the ropes, but Gunman reverses it, sending Pimp to the ropes instead. Pimp bounces off the ropes and Gunman connects a clothesline, sending him down. Gunman hits a couple of quick elbow drops while Pimp is down, then a legdrop. He pulls Pimp to his feet and sets him up for a piledriver. He lifts the World Champ up and connects it. Gunman covers.

One...

Two...Pimp gets a shoulder up.

Gunman stands and waits for Pimp to get up. Once Pimp is back on his feet, Gunman goes for a superkick, but Pimp ducks and sweeps his leg out, tripping the challenger. Gunman goes down and Pimp grabs his legs. Pimp catapults him across the ring, Gunman falling flat on his face. Pimp brings him to his feet, and sets him up for a Russian leg sweep. But before he can finish the move, Gunman elbows him in the chest and hits his own Russian legsweep. Gunman goes over to the corner, climbs the first two ropes, and then dives off with a leg drop. Pimp moves out of the way and Gunman hits nothing but mat.

Nelson: So far we've seen a great display from these two.

Crumb: And neither man has gotten a clear advantage over the other. Like you said, Patrick, this could go either way!

Both men get back to their feet. Gunman stumbles forward and walks right into a DDT. Pimp covers, but Gunman puts his leg on the bottom rope to break it up. The Champ whips the challenger to the ropes. As Gunman runs back, Pimp goes for a flapjack, but Gunman anticipates it, and flips around to land behind Pimp. He lifts Pimp up and connects a pendulum backbreaker. Pimp is down, clenching his back in pain. Gunman pulls him to his feet and puts him in a powerbomb position. He lifts Pimp up, and runs across the ring. But Gunman leans foward, putting all his weight on Gunman's shoulders. Gunman falls flat on his back in mid-run, with Pimp on top. Pimp hooks both legs and Senior Ref Dark counts.

One...

Two...Gunman kicks out!

Crumb: Lord Taylor kicks out!

Samson: We just saw that tool!

Pimp, slightly frustrated, whips Gunman aggressively into the corner. He walks over and boots Gunman in the midsection a couple of times, lifts him up to the top turnbuckle, setting up for a superplex. Pimp is about to suplex Gunman off the top rope, but Gunman is able to resist it. Gunman punches Pimp a couple of times, then hits a reverse suplex from the top rope! Pimp crashes down to the mat, face first, then rolls over onto his back. Gunman leaps off the turnbuckle and hits an outstanding elbow drop. He covers Pimp.

One...

Two...Pimp barely manages to kick out.

Gunman can't believe it.

Samson: Damn...THAT was close.

Nelson: The World Heavyweight belt nearly changed hands there...is it only a matter of time?

Samson: Pimp will pull it off, somehow...I know he will.

Pimp rolls to his knees and an upset Gunman stomps away at his chest. Pimp absorbs the shots and manages to stand, while Gunman still pounds away. Pimp pops Gunman in the chin with a forearm then springs himself off the ropes. Gunman comes through with a missed clothesline; Pimp hits the adjacent ropes. Pimp comes racing back, Gunman jumps high with a dropkick, but Pimp stops dead in his tracks, and Gunman crashes to the mat! Gunman comes to his feet to meet a bulldog! Gunman picks his face off the mat, and turns it side to side, in search of Pimp, who has leapt onto the top turnbuckle. Gunman comes to his feet and turns around into a missile dropkick!

Crumb: Missile dropkick!

Nelson: Never thought I would see the day when Pimp Bizkit did a move like that!

Samson: This is it! Pin him Champ!

Pimp rolls up Gunman, but the 2004 Lord of the Coliseum has found the energy to kick out before Senior Ref Dark's hand hits the mat! Pimp comes up expecting an explosion by Gunman but Gunman lunges forward and sweeps Pimp's legs! Gunman is up, Pimp hops up to his feet, and Gunman hits him with a lariat! Pimp is up and another lariat! Pimp gets up a bit slower, Gunman boots him in the stomach, puts him in a dominator position, lifts Pimp up, and drops him down with tremendous force!

Nelson: My lord what a dominator. Pimp Bizkit is out!

Pimp rolls to his stomach and slowly gets to his feet. Gunman sets him up for another dominator. He tries to lift the Champ, but Pimp resists! Pimp reverses it into a back body drop. Pimp stomps on Gunman leaving him no choice but to roll out of the ring.

Crumb: I can't believe it! Pimp Bizkit still has some fight left in him!

Nelson: Amazing.

Samson: Come on Pimp! Get 'em! Get 'em!

Pimp waits in the middle of the ring for Gunman to slowly get back to his feet. Finally, Gunman pulls himself back into the ring. The two meet in the center of the ring and lock up. Gunman is able to get the advantage with a knee to the gut and whips Pimp into the ropes. As Pimp comes off the ropes, Gunman lunges at him with a flying clothesline that connects. Gunman pulls himself to his feet and walks over to the Champ, pulling him off the canvas. Gunman whips Pimp to the ropes again, but Pimp reverses and sends Gunman to the ropes. Gunman comes flying off the ropes and Pimp catches him with an abdominal stretch! Pimp locks it on hard in the middle of the ring and Gunman struggles to get the ropes.

Samson: Give up Johnny Boy! Just give up!

Gunman tries to power his way out, but to no avail. Pimp applies more pressure and eventually Gunman starts to scream out in pain.

Nelson: Oh my, he could have torn abdominal muscles!

Senior Ref Dark asks him if he wants to quit, but he shakes his head and yells out, "Hell, No!"

Crumb: Lord Taylor is hanging in there! It's just, I don't know how!

Pimp keeps the hold on for a while, until it becomes clear that Gunman won't give up anytime soon. Pimp lets go and then knees Gunman in the gut multiple times, driving the wind out of him. He then lifts Gunman up in a fireman's carry position and drives him down with a stomach crusher. Pimp grabs Gunman by the arm and whips him across into the ropes. Gunman rebounds, Pimp catches him and spins into a hammerlock. Gunman struggles and reverses it into his own hammerlock. Pimp fights to get position and succeeds by working in a somewhat inverted drop toehold. Both men back to their feet.

Pimp leads in with a left hook, Gunman takes the blow in stride, and hits a quick snap suplex. Pimp seems a bit stunned, Gunman drops down for a Boston crab. Pimp Bizkit struggles, kicking and pulling his way to the ropes before any serious damage can be done. Both men up, Pimp signals for a test of strength. Gunman accepts and the two competitors grapple. Gunman seems to be gaining the advantage, but Pimp swings back and forces Gunman nearly to the mat. Pimp releases, punches once across the face, and hits a by-the-book DDT. Pimp pulls Gunman to his feet and whips him off the ropes. Gunman rebounds into a stunning sidewalk slam administered by Pimp. The World Champ appears to be on top and applies a STF. Gunman struggles, managing to break free, and Pimp lets up.

Both men up, Pimp hits a right cross that gives him position for a vertical suplex. He hooks, but can't lift! Gunman holds his ground, then lifts Pimp with his own vertical suplex. Pimp hits the mat hard but he is able to pull himself up though.

Nelson: Goodness, look at these two go! Does it get any better than this? No matter what they do neither can get an advantage.

Crumb: I have to say, this may be one of the greatest examples of textbook professional wrestling I've ever seen.

Sluggishly, they charge toward one another. Pimp is somehow able to grab Gunman's arm again and apply a hammerlock. Lord John Taylor grinds his teeth in pain. Gunman slides back and reverses the move. Pimp drops forward and brings Gunman down with him a drop toehold. Gunman comes to his feet and Pimp whips him into the ropes. Gunman flies in with a right hook, but Pimp ducks. Gunman turns around and Pimp nails him with a spear.

Gunman falls to the mat and Pimp gets to his feet. Pimp grabs a hold of Gunman's ankle, and with his other hand Gunman's neck and pulls him up. Pimp immediately nails Gunman with a dragon screw! Pimp pulls Gunman back up by his ankle and neck, and hits another dragon screw! Gunman holds his ankle and is pulled up by Pimp again. Pimp jets around Gunman and pulls back with a German suplex, but Gunman flips back and lands on his feet. Pimp is unaware of the perfect landing, and as he turns around he is dropped with a chinbreaker! The Champ holds his chin, but comes to his feet. Gunman awaits Pimp to make his move. Pimp kicks Gunman in the gut going for a shuffle sidekick, but Gunman grasps Pimp's foot. Gunman sweeps Pimp's free leg, then follows through with an elbow drop to the knee.

Nelson: That halted Pimp Bizkit, but not for long. He is up and both men are exchanging shots!

Crumb: GO LORD TAYLOR GO!

Samson: GO PIMP GO!

They strike one another over and over, both men with a burst of energy, both men looking to wear the other back down. Pimp blocks, uppercuts Gunman. Gunman dodges a Pimp uppercut and comes through with a falling armbreaker! Pimp is embracing his arm and Gunman is kicking away at it. Pimp punches at Gunman's stomach, and sends him wobbling towards the top rope with a European uppercut! Pimp backs up, charges forward, and joins Gunman on a trip out of the ring with a clothesline! Gunman takes a nasty bump on the cement like sand covered mat and Pimp tosses him back into the ring. Pimp awaits the rising Gunman.

Nelson: Pimp Bizkit just taunting him here, waiting for the right time to strike.

Samson: The right time to strike is when they are on the ground...they are just that much closer to your foot.

The two circle around each other. They both do a series of head fakes, trying to outwit his opponent. Gunman follows through one of his "fakes". He does a textbook double leg takedown. Pimp falls on his back and Gunman takes advantage with an ankle lock. Pimp rolls around in pain shaking free of the hold. They both rise to their feet and stare each other down.

The two back away from each other and begin to encircle each other again. Gunman tries the double leg take down again but is grabbed by the bigger Pimp and given a devastating spinebuster. Pimp runs off the ropes and drops an elbow but Gunman rolls out of the way and to his feet. The two exchange fists, but again the size difference plays a factor. Pimp gets the advantage and whips Gunman off the ropes. He leaps frogs over the charging Gunman and goes to the opposite ropes. Pimp leaps from the edge of the ring hitting Gunman with a shoulderblock send him crashing to the canvas. Pimp leaps to his feet. The GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Champion taunts the crowd a bit before he picks up Gunman to his feet and puts him in position for a vertical suplex. Pimp lifts him totally straight and gracefully falls back. Pimp goes for a quick pin.

One…easy kick out.

Pimp pulls Gunman to his feet and throws him to the ropes. As he charges back Pimp telegraphs a back body drop. Gunman catches his wind and connects with an implanted DDT. Pimp's head bounces off the mat. Gunman applies an arm bar. Senior Ref Dark interrogates Pimp about continuing and his answer is always an empathic no. Pimp pulls himself inch by inch to the edge of the ring, pulling his and Gunman's body weight. Pimp makes it to the ropes. Gunman holds the move making Senior Ref Dark count.

One…

Two…

Three…

Four… Gunman lets go.

Gunman pulls Pimp to his feet. He throws Pimp to the corner, but halfway through Pimp reverses sending Gunman to the corner. Pimp follows and splashes him in the corner. Gunman's head falls but his body stays in the corner. Pimp looks at him and slaps Gunman in the face. Pimp viciously slams his boot into Gunman's neck. Pimp pulls Gunman off the mat and nails a perfect running powerbomb. He then pulls Gunam up one more time and puts him in a powerbomb position. Pimp points up to the sky.

Samson: This is it! The prelude to Playground Player (a combo of two Powerbombs followed by a Samoan Drop, but too the side hooking the leg for a pinning combination)! It's over!

Nelson: If Pimp Bizkit hits his signature move it may just put the World Champion over the top!

Crumb: Lord Taylor will get out of it some how, I know he will!

Pimp lifts Gunman up...but Gunman flips over and lands behind Pimp.

Samson: AHH!

Gunman grabs the back of Pimp's head and nails a perfect reverse DDT. Pimp slowly gets to his feet and stumbles towards Gunman. The Lone Gunman reaches out and whips Pimp into the ropes. Pimp rebounds off the ropes and Gunman charges to nail him with a clothesline but it almost as if  it is slow motion. Pimp is able to duck under Gunman and out of the way.

Crumb: How could Pimp duck under that move, he couldn't have seen it coming!

Nelson: These two know each other's style very well. He must of reacted out of pure instinct.

As Pimp gets behind Gunman, Pimp is able to grab the challenger by the head and lock on the Final Choke! Standing in the middle of the ring Pimp locks on his debilitating katahijima. Pimp sweeps Gunman's feet out of under him, knocking both me to the mat, but not releasing the hold.

Nelson: This may be it! Pimp Bizkit has the Final Choke really locked in!

Samson: I told you Pimp would take it in the end.

Crumb: GET OUT LORD TAYLOR!

Gunman violently struggles...but he can't break free. Pimp has him in the middle of the ring. Gunman keeps on fighting, until he finally starts to lose his energy. He is slowly fading away. Gunman goes limp. Senior Ref Dark checks his arm. It goes down once...twice...and then bell ring. Senior Ref Dark lifts his arm a third time and...three! He calls for the bell.

Samson: YES! YES! PIMP WINS! PIMP IS STILL THE CHAMP!

Herbert Torres: Your winner, and still the World Heavyweight champion...Pimp Bizkit!

Pimp begins celebrating in the ring, but the timekeeper walks over to Senior Ref Dark. The two begin to argue. After a few moments Senior Ref Dark talks to Torres. Pimp looks confused as the officials get in a big huddle. Finally, Torres lifts his mic back up to his mouth.

Torres: Ladies and gentlemen, the timekeeper has informed me that the time limit had expired before the knockout win, BUT the GZW2K1 Senior Referee has refused to change his decision. So Pimp Bizkit is your winner!

Crumb: NO! TIME WAS UP! IT'S A DRAW!

Samson: What are you talking about, Pimp won! He knocked out  in the middle of the ring, even Senior Referee Richard Dark says so.

Nelson: Well, that really doesn't matter. The time limit expired before Lord Taylor was out. So like it or not, it's a draw.

Samson: Dark doesn't seem to thing so, and then again, how can you know when Taylor was really knocked out...maybe he was out before the bell rang? Who knows…

Crumb: That doesn't matter, time was expired.

Nelson: Well folks, I don't think we are going to be able to figure this out tonight. Join us for Crimson and I am sure we will have more answers at that time. But for tonight, we saw an incredible pay-per-view! Good night, and we'll see you on Crimson!

Fallout: Against The Odds ends with highlights of all the matches and the controversial finish to the main event.
