MONDAY NIGHT THROWDOWN 20 SEPTEMBER 2004

The show opened to a lush video package promoting Clancy McClean’s Neophyte Of The Year tournament. Highlights of the tournament thus far were shown, to the tune of Richard Wagner’s “Ride Of The Valkyries”. Particular attention was paid to the eight remaining participants - Kid Kaos, Seven, Kid X, The Cursed Angel, Kaine, "Buzzing" Electric Sharpe, Jimmy Williams and Joshua Cleaver. The HKWF Three Stooges - Nelson, Samson and Crumb - made their way to ringside for commentating duties.  They were followed by mainstay ring announcer Herbert Torres, who came out to a huge pop and announced the card in full.  The usual fireworks display ensued, kicking off the fourth web cast edition of Monday Night Throwdown.

Backstage
Walking down the hallway with a pair of shades on and a pair of cut off shorts was the youngest man on the GZW roster Kid X. The young superstar was quickly stopped by a mob of young attractive ladies beginning for an autograph. X smiled and was more than happy to sign an autograph or two but was even more happy to sign them when he realized where they wanted to be signed.

After signing the autographs Kid X leaned up against the wall and began to ask the ladies several personal questions to which the females were more than happy to answer to his delight. Once he was finished asking the questions he asked them what they thought about his opponent Cursed Angel.

The ladies began saying that he was kinda cute but they didn't know much about him because he was the silent type. Kid X quickly stated that he was walk into the ring and do what he does best and thats make a fool of his opponent and look good while doing it. X then went on to state that after his victory against Cursed Angel and was quarnteed a place in the third round of the tournament that he was gonna go out and celebrate and that all the young girls were invited so that he could find out if they answered the questions truthfully.

After the ladies giggled and each gave Kid X a kiss before turning and walking away Kid X looked at the camera and smiled as he lowered his glasses and stated "Damn it's great to be me."

With that said Kid X turned and followed in the general direction of the females as the scene faded.

"GZW's Rizin' Star" Kid Kaos vs. "The Dark Angel" Seven
This one was a case of two contrasting styles working particularly well together.  The ever energetic Kid Kaos took everything "The Dark Angel" dished out and gave it back to him ten fold.  Kaos procured and maintained the advantage for the first several minutes, literally flying circles around the more sluggish seven footer in terms of his aerial attack, scoring an extremely early near-fall with a springboard "K-Dog" (Shelton Benjamin Top-Rope Clothesline).  Kaos kept up the momentum for a further few minutes until a brief taunting period allowed Seven to catch his breath and turn the tables with a running big boot.  From there, Seven began to wear down the much smaller former Regional Heavyweight Champion with brute force, even silencing a few critics by athletically pulling off "The Sacrifice" (Monty Brown's The Pounce) on the obviously faster and more nimble Kaos for another near fall.  Kaos began to battle back, and for a further three minutes, neither man had the distinct advantage until Kaos rolled out of an attempted powerbomb and went for the "Kaos Krab" on the huge Dark Angel.  Resisting with all his might, Seven was able to escape it and send Kaos flying half way across the ring.  This time, however, Seven's size played against him as it took him far longer to get to his feet than it took Kid Kaos.  When he finally got to his feet, he was met with a particularly potent "K-Liner" from the top rope.  Kaos rolled the bigger man up, but the Dark Angel kicked out at the very last possible second, to the disbelief of Referee John Law.  Kaos went for the "Kaos Krab" a second time.  Seven struggled, trying to roll out out of dodge, but that proved to be fatal as Kaos was able to improvise and hook the Dark Angel in a small package for the three count at nearly twenty minutes.
Winner via pinfall: Kid Kaos

Backstage
The undefeated Cursed Angel was spotted walking backstage with a big crow perched on his shoulder. He was approached to by Weston Bentley, who was armed with a mic. CA accepted to answer a few questions, followed by a quick "thanks" from Weston.

Weston started off by complimenting CA on his undefeated streak and his innovative wrestling style. CA nodded his head, but didn't gloat over his success. Bentley went on with the questions, asking about CA's whereabouts as of late. Cursed Angel simply stated that he's been digging into his past and trying to discover the origins of his existence. Weston asked his second question, which was how CA feels about his next opponent in the Neophyte of the Year tournament, being Kid X. CA, as respectful as always, said that although he doesn't know much about Kid X, he is looking forward to going into battle with him. He stated that Kid X has a strong presence about him, but he's not much different than any other young, arrogant man. He might be full of energy and youth, but that won't help him. He finished up by saying that he wishes Kid X the best of luck, even though a black charm hangs over his head.

Weston began to ask another question about CA's opponent on Metal, being Seven, but CA interrupted him. He stated that everyone knows what he thinks of Seven... That he's nothing but a fraud and a mockery to the fictional world. Before walking away, CA said that Seven hasn't yet earned his wings, and he can pretend they exist all they want... But he better remember that there's one angel out there he's failed to defeat. CA smirked and made his way down the hall as the crow remained perched on his shoulder.

Kid X vs. The Cursed Angel
This energetic contest got off to a lively start as these two well matched high fliers gave the crowd their all.  Every time it appeared that one man had the distinct advantage, the other would get right back in it.  Almost ten minutes of practically non-stop high spots ensued, leaving the crowd in pure awe.  One particularly jaw-dropping moment occurred when the Cursed Angel flew from the top rope as if for a cross body block, but began to spiral horizontally almost out of control for his "Whirling Portal" only to be met in midair with a dropsault from the smaller Kid X!  X managed a near fall on that exchange and maintained his advantage, looking for a submission victory with a standing figure four leg lock.  Crumb pointed out that X calls the move "No Doubt".  The Cursed Angel valiantly resisted tapping out, managing to roll out of the move after almost two full minutes and gain a near fall.  From there, CA battled back and impressed the crowd with some illusions, irritating the cocky Kid to no end.  The end came when the Cursed Angel ignited a naked flame from his hands, distracting Kid X enough to allow CA to kick him in the midsection and drop him with the "Black Charm Driver" (Canadian Destroyer) for the win after a thrilling sixteen minute bout.

Backstage we see “Buzzing” Electric Sharpe preparing for his forthcoming match with “Untouchable” Kaine. The young GZW Interviewer Jeff managed to get a few words with the Extreme Heretic. Sharpe, was quick to point out to Kaine that Sharps’ and Sharpes’ are NOT one of the same. Sharpe then commented on how he shall be breezing into the next round of the Neophyte tournament.

Sharpe then continued onwards saying how he hasn’t forgotten Jimmy Williams. He mentioned that Jimmy is a disgrace to the Extreme division GZW used to have, and that should that division ever crop up again it shall not be him headlining it. Sharpe bragged about beating the “Real Deal” at Return to Glory, and said should he manage to advance to the next round of the tournament he will look forward to beating him once again.

In-Ring
As the show returned from a commercial, Clancy McClean stood in the middle of the ring alongside his new client, six-time HKWF Hardcore Champion, Reject.  Clancy spoke about the recent emergence of the DisOrder stable, and what effect their presence could have on the Heretics' stranglehold on the company.  He also noted that the formation of the DisOrder could be the start of a veritable stable war within the company.  Making reference to 'free agents' such as Justin Sharp, Sean Fiery, James Tanner and Kid Kaos, Clancy deducted that it would only be a matter of time before the aforementioned would grow tired of staring down the business end of a numbers game and would revert to their old ways and band together in various stables.  Clancy clarified that this wasn't just a prediction, it was an inevitable fact.  Moving on slightly, he posed the rhetorical question - would he, the original manager and founder of What Money Can Buy, want a piece of the action?

He didn't give a straight answer.  Pointing at Reject, Clancy said that he already had under his control a one man stable, evident from some footage he wanted to share.  The Zerotron flickers on to show archived footage from the Evening Of Extreme of April 3rd, 2002, and specifically the Reject vs. Wylder match.  Reject, literally on fire and with barbed wire protruding from his throat, is shown more than holding his own against not only Wylder but Wylder's SIN stable mates, Kaijin and Christopher "CK" Karnage.  The footage then skipped to the end of the match, with Reject delivering a Senton Bomb from the top rope to the floor, driving Wylder through a barbed wire board. Grinning, Clancy continued to hype his latest acquisition, although Reject seemed less than impressed with his manager's demeanour.  The two left the ring after Clancy reminded the fans that it was still early days, and that 'the best is yet to come'.  The fans were less than impressed with his use of clichés, pelting him with fast food on his way out.  Surprisingly, nobody dared throw a thing at Reject.

Can't Stop Me
The scene opens up to the locker room of DisOrder, where the camera finds Kaine sitting in his locker stall preparing for the match at hand against Electric Sharpe. From the doorway, Andrew Excelsior reminds him that he needs to get moving for the upcoming match, so Kaine quickly exits the room. While he’s walking down the hallway, both he and Excelsior are taunting Sharpe through the camera, saying that he has no chance to win against the biggest thing to hit GZW in a long time, that he has no chance against the best youngster to grace the wrestling ring ever. Excelsior also warns that if Sharpe decides to bring his bunch of Heretics down to help him, he has no problem bringing the rest of DisOrder down to show just how pathetic their stable really is. Kaine then continues on berating Sharpe through the camera, saying that he has no chance whatsoever at winning this match and advancing. Kaine continues on saying that there is no stopping his destiny of winning the Neophyte of the year tournament and there is no stopping him in his quest to put DisOrder on the map. Kaine finishes with his usual “You can’t beat what you can’t touch” motto as he and Andrew reach the entrance area backstage.

"The Untouchable" Kaine vs. "Buzzing" Electric Sharpe
Prior to the match, the stooges discussed the significance of this being a showdown of the best young talent on offer from the Heretics going up against that of the DisOrder.  They speculated that this one could degenerate quickly into a brawl between the two stables, but Samson was able to confirm that Pimp wasn't at the arena, so the chances weren't too high.  The two came out without any stablemate backup and taunted each other for the better part of two minutes.  Getting into it, the two displayed their speed and agility, with Electric Sharpe and his mean streak earning the upper hand early on.  It wasn't long before Kaine was able to underhandedly work his way out of Sharpe's offence and battle back.  The two went at it back and forth for nearly twelve minutes until Sharpe seemed to snap after what he thought was a slow count.  Sliding out of the ring, he grabbed a steel chair.  He swung back to hit Kaine only to be hit with a spinning heel kick, driving the chair back into his face.  Ref Pat McKenna allowed the match to go on, seeing as how both men were to blame.  Just then, backstage footage was shown of DisOrder members Brian Sabre, Paul Spartan and Seven heading past the sound crew and heading towards the curtain.  Similar footage of Phillip Tytan and James "Monarch" Corbin was shown simultaneously. The five men eventually met just inside the curtain and began to brawl, with the DisOrder getting the upper hand thanks to a numbers advantage.  However, the Heretics' plan became all to apparent when Nathan "T-Rex" Williams appeared from through the crowd, unbeknownst to Kaine, Sharpe and Ref McKenna who were all distracted with the ZeroTron footage.  Sliding into the ring, Rex laid out Kaine from behind with the chair and exited the ring swiftly.  Sharpe took full advantage and made the cover for the win as Williams headed up the ramp to help out his teammates in the brawl.  The show went to a commercial.

Lucky
Walking down the hall with a stern look on his face and a confident stride in his step is the last man to hold the GZW Extreme Title Jimmy Williams. Jimmy turned a corner backstage obviously looking for something when he came face to face with Weston Bently who was busy trying to find someone for a quick interview.

Weston ever quick to capitalize on luck began to ask Jimmy if he was ready for his match against Joshua Cleaver tonight. Jimmy snapped at Weston and told him he was a little busy but would make an exception and answer the question. Jimmy went on to say that it was a new day and that he would show Joshua that he didn't wake anything up but instead just pissed someone off even more than usual.

Jimmy stated that Joshua got lucky when he beat him last time but that the only luck he would have in this match was if he walked out on his own two legs and was able to wrestle again. Jimmy said that he was through listening to constant **** from people and that he was gonna put a stop to it now starting with Joshua and ending with Sharpe.

Jimmy then made his way past Weston and down the hall as the scene faded.

Live From Bizkit's
At the office at Bizkits we saw Jeff the young GZW interviewer interviewing Pimp. Jeff asked Pimp questions about Tonya Glory to which Pimp began to mock Glory saying how she was ONLY a woman. Pimp continued to make degrading comments about women, and laughed off the thought of Tonya beating him on Crimson.

Jeff mentioned that Pimp didn’t seem to be being booked on all that many shows recently to which Pimp replied hastily saying how he is the very best GZW has to offer, and he’s a special event and should be reserved for the best shows, and not just house shows. Pimp said how Throwdown, Travesty, and Metal amongst others have always been second rate shows, and although the NEED him on their shows, he should be appearing on the very best as he is just that.

Jeff finished off by asking Pimp on what he thinks about the rumors circulating about the man that he has been compared to time and time again especially by the “Lone Gunman” John Taylor, Sincere will make some kind of appearance at Collision Course. Pimp then reacted angrily saying how he is NOTHING like the “Jade Dragon”, and that although some of his methods may be similar and that he couldn’t blame Sincere for stealing his ideas. When Jeff tried to tell Pimp Sincere came before him he was cut off by Pimp who told him the interview is over.

"Real Deal" Jimmy Williams vs. Joshua "The Panther" Cleaver

Jimmy came into this one with a serious score to settle with "The Panther".  The no-nonsense Texan went straight to work on the arrogant Atlanta native with a round of hard hitting rights and lefts, beating him down in the corner.  Referee Fergus Kennedy found it tough trying to keep a lid on Williams' rage, but was able to do so temporarily.  As soon as he did, Cleaver was able to ground the borderline psychotic Williams and began to work on his upper body with a series of basic submission holds.  Samson made fun of Jimmy, noting that he could be about to tap out to Cleaver again at any second.  As if sensing that, Williams violently fought to his feet and went berserk on the self-proclaimed King, tearing through him with several of his high-impact trademark moves, rounded off with a particularly impressive "Payback" (Rolling Thunder) for a near fall. In firm control, Jimmy attempted to lock on several submission moves, most notably Cleaver's own octopus stretch that made Jimmy tap before.  The more technically sound Cleaver was able to wrestle out of each of Jimmy's holds, but unable to maintain any sort of advantage as the volatile former Extreme Champion nearly decapitated him with his "Nightmare" clothesline for another near fall.  Again, Jimmy reverted to looking for a submission win, this time with his "Rough Times" (crippler crossface).  The Panther displayed an element of toughness and resiliency not often seen from him by withstanding the excruciating pain of the move, on and off for almost seven minutes, until Jimmy finally snapped and decided to go for the pinfall victory.  Violently jerking his opponent to his feet, Williams delivered two hard snap suplexes before signalling for the end.  Hoisting the possibly already beaten Cleaver to his feet once again, Jimmy applied a front face lock and proceeded to plough right through him with a vicious "Retribution" (Stalling Brainbuster Into An Inverted Tombstone Piledriver), rattling the ring.  Williams went for the inevitable cover, only to willingly stop it himself after two.  A wide smile came across the man once known as Big Country's face as he brought the already defeated Cleaver to his feet and locked in an Octopus Stretch for the second time in the match.  Cleaver screamed in agony and tapped out immediately.
Winner via submission: "Real Deal" Jimmy Williams

Post match, "Lone Gunman" John Taylor stepped out through the curtain applauding Williams.  The crowd treated the official number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship with a mixed reaction, to which he didn't even respond.  Crumb made reference to Taylor's volatile behaviour at the infamous recent house show, during which he tore into the majority of the developmental roster.  Staying on the ramp, Taylor got on the mic and congratulated Jimmy on his win and progression to the semi finals of the tournament.  Taylor said that the win tonight was half the battle already won towards Jimmy redeeming himself and his career.  Taylor then said that Jimmy was now faced with the opportunity to come full circle and beat the Lone Gunman at this upcoming Wednesday Metal.  According to Taylor, this would be Jimmy's last chance to prove his worth as "The Real Deal", and he suggested that Williams truly bring his 'A' game.  The show went off the air as Taylor headed backstage and Jimmy stood in the ring thinking about what Taylor had said.
