Go back to Guitar lessons.
1996
Given my first guitar by my uncle.
A 1/4 size, nylon string classical 'Skylark' guitar.
Althought I didn't play it much, the seeds were sewn.
I got some lessons with a neighbor, learning basic chords.

A while later, after meeting a new neighbor, it transpired he played guitar, and I had some lessons with him. Julian lent me a guitar, a 'Hayman Comet', which I still play and love.
After it became unpracticasl to have lessons with Julian, I started getting lessons at school, with Rene Steenvorden.
Althought a good player, his teaching stlye did not lend itself to me at this point, and I quit, leaving 2 guitars out of use at home.
1997
After a while away from the guitar, I decided that i should learn to play bass guitar.
Attracted to it on the notion that it would perhaps be easier (a common mistake), I enquired about school lessons in late '97.

1998
I started learning bass, inspired by players such as Roger Glover and Glenn Hughes (the different basssists in Deep Purple) and Andy Fraser of Free.
I got my first bass, which I still use as my main instrument; an 'Aria Pro 2', older than me, and bought second hand through Loot.
My teacher, Mark Davey ws exceptional, and I picked it up very quickly.
I haven't had lessons since he left, but hjave continued playing, now able to play complex rhtyhm patterns and bass lines.

2000 - 2002
Around this time, I joined many bands, and have continued to play bass and sing.
But around late 2000, I began to get back into guitar playing, and went back to Rene Steenvorden for lessons after I got my 'Jackson Kelly' guitar.
I now play lead and rhythm guitar to a relatively good standard, as well as some Keyboards and percussion, as well as my main instruments.
