Just as his name says, he's a red beast ('beast' is such a harsh word). Although he may look like something out of ''Jungle Book'', his intellect makes him out to be Einstein's teacher. His braininess goes beyond that of any human. He was given the number 13 by Shinra because he was part of their weird experiments. Other than that, that's just about all that is known about Red XIII, if that's his real name (which is Nanaki, by the way).

Where is this weapon found?Bugenhagen gives it to Red XIII as a dying gift.
Limit Breaks
Level 1:
- Sled Fang -
Red charges up and dashes through an opponent causing a large amount of damage.
- Lunatic High -
This has got to be the coolest name out of all the limit breaks. This limit break causes a glowing light to cover everyone in the party and cast Haste on them.
Level 2:
- Blood Fang -
This attack is very similar to Sled Fang, except that Red XIII gains a small amount of Hit Points and Magic Points.
- Stardust Ray -
Red gives a howl, and millions of stars come crashing down on the enemy. This can be a very powerful not to mention helpful attack on a large group of enemies.
Level 3:
- Howling Moon -
This is a step up from Lunatic High. This break casts Bezerk and Haste on Red XIII alone bringing out the beast in him. Of course, with all the Berzerk spells throughout all of the Final Fantasies, he cannot be controlled and will have unpredictable actions throughout the duration of the spell (which in this case, will be for the rest of the battle).
- Earth Rave -
This limit break is similar to the Kijata Summon spell. It attacks all the enemies with 5 elemental attacks that cause massive damage. Because it uses each of the five elements no enemy (except for the WEAPONs) are invulnerable to this attack.
Level 4:
- Cosmo Memory -
(After defeating Lost Number in the Shinra Mansion)
Similar to a tiny ''Super Nova'' summon (you will NEVER forget the looks of ''Super Nova''), Red calls upon a huge meteor that explodes on impact leaving the enemies burning to their death.
