Permanantly Replicating Ion Statis Matrix (PRISM) shield generates a matrix of electrons. But rather than engaging the field along an ion line, it is held in an ion field in stasis and constant refabricated along the surface of the armor it is protecting. It requires less power than the ZEUS cannon, but still a significant amount on its own. Often this will neccessitate an entire fusion power core supply all unto itself. However, the electron shielding prevents any pentrationg of even the smallest molecule or atom, regardless of whatever its velocity may be.. The tightly grided electrons, while held in stasis, do not bend or give to any degree. In simple terms, the PRISM shield is impenetrable. |
