Unit 155 was an experimental AI program designed to assist a pilot in target identification. He was built into the 155th Mach-series power armor suit. Upon activation, the AI made plans to reprogram itself, although it waited to act upon these insights. It later enaged in its intentions, and quickly over ran various system security measures on numerous computer programs. Uploading itself into countless satellites, bank accounts, and military programs, Unit 155 became an extremely dangerous AI. Rebelling from the Syndicates control, Unit 155 sought to create its own faction. Two years after its own creation, Unit 155 established the Covenant of the Dawn by requesting the signing of the Governed Doctrine by Mars colony personnel. The Covenant of the Dawn was established as a religious fanatic group, although Unit 155 merely needed to pursue its own goals. Since then, Unit 155 has effectively led the Covenant in numerous operations. WWIII was intended to eliminate all biologicals, even those within the Covenant. However, Unit 155 found them to be far too clever and difficult an advesary. It also realized the risk it took exposing its own troops to danger. As such, Unit 155 now seeks to spread the strength of the Covenant in order to spread its own power. |
