• 4 types of strobe: Strobe, Slow flash, SOS, Fast flash
• Digitally regulated output - maintains constant brightness
• Uses eight 1.5V AA (Alkaline, Ni-MH) batteries (4 AA batteries can be used in an emergency)

• 10oz (excluding batteries)
• Waterproof to IPX-8 Standard
• Toughened ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating
• Push-button tailcap switch
• Capable of tail standing on a flat surface to work as a "candle"
• Included accessories: instructions, shoulder strap, two spare o-rings and a rubber switch boot

The TK40 has a thick body and tailcap to go along with it's 2.44" head. Even so, it is well balanced in your hand.
The tailcap switch is not a forward or reverse clickie. Power always flows to the head. When you press the
switch it "tells" the light to turn on. Click and release to turn the light on (or off if it's already on). Once it's on
click and hold to go to the next brightness level. It's that easy. To access a strobe function, double click.
To change to a different type of strobe, change to the next brightness level and double click. That's it.

This is what the battery carrier looks like. It seems pretty sturdy and holds the batteries tightly in place.
I recommend rechargeable batteries. They work much better than alkaline and are much cheaper in the long run.

The TK40 comes in a decent plastic case with handles so you can store the light and the extra goodies it
comes with, so you always know where to find them. Very nice touch for Fenix. Some of the extras
are a shoulder strap and extra o-rings.

The TK40 fits nicely in the hand and is easy to operate, although you will need to hold it near the back of
the light to reach the tail switch easily.

Here is a comparison photo of the TK40 with a 3D MAG-LITE, Surefire L6, Fenix T1, Titan T1A and ArcAAA.
