Surefire L2 Lumamax

Produced by Surefire

The Surefire L2 is a Digitally-Controlled LED flashlight that runs on 2xCR123 lithium batteries. It uses a Luxeon 5 watt LED and digital current regulation circuitry to achieve a near constant level of brightness for the useable life of the batteries (about 50 minutes on high and 5-6 hours on low).

The L2 also comes with a two-stage tailcap switch. Press lightly for low (15 lumens) and press hard for full power (100 lumens). Twist for constant on. The L2 can also be locked-out by unscrewing the tailcap several turns.

Here is the front end of the L2 showing the OP reflector and LuxV LED. A new version of the L2 is the LX2 and uses a SSC P4 emitter and a TIR optic.
